Bray Wyatt Makes Creepy In-Ring Debut With New Gimmick

Bray Wyatt, the master of mind games, brings something WWE Universe has been missing for a while; that’s the character WWE fans hook on to. He first started as a simple Nexus’s member Husky Harris but losing to mid-cards like Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. The Husky Harris’s gets written off after Randy Orton punted him (a kick to the head).

On July 2012, Harris got repacked and formed a stable called the Wyatt Family in NXT. They later debuted on the main roster and became the hottest faction next to the Shield at that time. However, in 2016, the stable got separated and the eater of worlds got drafted to Smackdown Live. He should have beaten the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31 but WWE Chairman gave that honor to Brock Lesnar.

Despite his loss to the Deadman, he won the WWE Heavyweight Champion at 2017 Elimination Chamber but sadly only to lose it to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 33. His reign only lasting 49 days as champion. He and Matt Hardy then teamed up and won the Raw’s Tag Team Champions and named themselves as the Deleters of Worlds but when the fans thought they are finally getting the push, they lose it to the B Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel). With Matt out of action due to injury, the eater of worlds took a hiatus in mid-2018.

The Brand New Face of Fear!

In April 2019, WWE Universe got to witness the new gimmick from the former cult leader, something different, something fresh, something non-PG: The Firefly Fun House. It was a weekly creepy kid’s TV show segments on both Raw and Smackdown Live where he chats with his band of puppets (from Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, Ramblin’ Rabbit, and Huskus the Pig) and expressionless kids.

Bray Wyatt: Let Him In!

He debuts his new character “The Fiend” on one of his TV show segment, and the WWE Universe can’t wait for his in-ring return.

Not long, the fans got their wishes when the Fiend finally appears during the end of Finn Balor’s match; hitting Balor with Sister Abigail. And we got to see the Fiend again during Mick Foley’s segment on Raw’s Reunion show; using’s Foley’s own Mandible Claw.

Will this new character “the Fiend” reach the level as the Undertaker?

As a fan for 30 years, I personally think he can reach the level of the Undertaker as he is a master on the mic, and in the ring. He did something only a few like the Undertaker and Mick Foley can. And I hope with Paul Heyman in charge with the creative department, Mr. McMahon may let “The Fiend” have his ways and not turn it into something goofy in a year; something WWE is notorious for.  I really hope WWE won’t turn The Fiend into the ranks of Pa Pa Shango, Mordecai, and The Boogeyman.

TSJ Writer: How The Fiend needs to be pushed!

The Fiend is now the hottest topic/superstar possibly in WWE, and the company needs to capitalize it. The company needs to make him lose less or avoid the Fiend going up against Mr.McMahon’s hand picks. Let him only wrestle on WWE’s four major Pay Per Views. For the rest of the Pay Per Views, let the Fiend choose his next target, and that target needs to include the Phenom: the Undertaker. Setting up a match between The Fiend and The Undertaker at Survival Series, where Taker’s druids turn into The Fiend’s Fireflies or if the family of Paul Bearers accepts, making someone look like Paul Bearers appear in the ring; costing Taker the match.

Bray Wyatt’s Win, Lose or Draw should matter!

Nowadays in WWE, the “win, lose or draw” does not matter and they only goal is for Mr.McMahon’s handpicks to get the final win. The Undertaker, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman and The Eater of Worlds himself were the victims of Mr. McMahon’s bias decision. They all lose to Brock Lesnar, just for Roman Reigns to conquer the unconquerable beast.

For now, by any means necessary, the Fiend should not be in that category again, and his in-ring wrestling should be limited. Top guys like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns should not easily beat the Fiend nor pin him 1, 2, 3.

If the creatives decide for the Fiend to lose, it’d only be done with the Fiend disappearing once someone hitting the finishing move on him; we then see the “happy-go-luck” Wyatt back in the Fun House.

So what do you think? Do you see the Fined cementing as the new Phantom of the WWE or will it become another Boogeyman of WWE? Leave a comment.
