Atléti Are Planning Their Summer Around Griezmann
Atlético de Madrid have already started planning next season with star forward Antoine Griezmann.
However, Cadena Ser is reporting that Griezmann and Barcelona have an agreement for a move over the summer.
Additionally, Cuatro reports that the Colchoneros want Griezmann to announce publicly the he will move to Barcelona.
The Rojiblancos want to be able to start working on their transfer market moves this summer.
The French international signed a long-term deal last summer with Atléti and rejected a move to Barcelona.
There was talk that his decision was solely made with hopes that the Colchoneros would reach the Champions League final being that its being played at Wanda Metropolitano.
Additionally, his release clause has dropped from 200 million euros to 120 million euros. His annual salary is high at 10 million euros per year, something that may cause troubles with others at Barcelona.
The 28-year-old racked up 28 goals this season, which is the lowest since joining the Madrid team.
For Barcelona, they are hoping to move Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
Atlético is interested in Inter’s Mauro Icardi or Juventus’ Paul Dybala if Griezmann leaves the club.
