Triple H and Johnny Saint Unveil New NXT UK Tag Team Championships

As revealed on Twitter, WWE has unveiled brand new NXT UK Tag Team championships. This reveal was during the series of NXT UK tapings yesterday.

This coincides with WWE’s new NXT UK division that broadcasts for the first time this coming Wednesday night. The show will air after NXT and 205 Live.

NXT UK

Earlier this spring, WWE announced the debut of NXT UK during a second WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament. The announcement was made by Triple H. It made UK fans ecstatic to see their own brand of NXT come to the United Kingdom.

Many notable UK indie stars have already made an appearance on the show. Toni Storm, Pete Dunne, El Ligero, and Tyler Bate are just some of the notable names. The new division has already debuted a women’s championship as well. The first series of episodes will reveal who is women’s champion.

With a brand new NXT in the UK, it’s possible WWE could attract more talent to their brand. Indie wrestling icon Walter mentioned hating the idea of moving to the United States. But he did say he liked the concept of NXT. Maybe this will bring him, as well as many others, to the WWE.

UK Fanbase

As it is commonly known, the UK fans are one of the more dedicated wrestling fans around. Fans from the UK have been begging WWE for a pay-per-view since SummerSlam 1992. An NXT division isn’t exactly a pay-per-view, but things are starting to move in that direction.

When Tyler Bate and Trent Seven beat the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Team Championships during the second UK Tournament, the crowd went absolutely insane.

NXT UK should be a new exciting addition to WWE. With a now full set of championships, it can only get better.
