Jeff Hardy Talks Main WWE Goal; Teases Brother Nero Return

Jeff Hardy was on a media call earlier today. Hardy was there to promote this Sunday’s pay-per-view Hell in a Cell. During the interview with WrestlingInc, Hardy talked about his main goals moving forward with WWE. He even teased a possible Brother Nero return.

Charismatic Enigma

Jeff Hardy has been with the WWE on and off for the last twenty-six years. His previous run saw him win the WWE and World Heavyweight championship. Recently, he recaptured the RAW Tag Team championships with his brother, Matt Hardy. Jeff is the most recent male wrestler to be a Grand Slam champion. This means he has held the WWE Tag Team, Intercontinental, United States, and WWE championship at least once. The United States championship was his most recent accomplishment.

Hardy is currently in a feud with Randy Orton. This feud will culminate at this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. The match itself will take place in the structure the show was named after.

Hardy’s Future

When asked by WrestlingInc on what his future holds in store, Hardy responded:

“I would like to win the world title again for sure. That’s probably the main thing; back when me and my brother returned at WrestleMania 33 we won the tag team championships. It’d be good now that we are doing solo deals, in singles competition to be the world champion again. That’s one thing for sure.” quote courtesy of WrestlingInc

#Broken

Jeff Hardy’s “broken universe” persona, Brother Nero, made a brief appearance in The Ultimate Deletion match with Bray Wyatt and “Woken” Matt Hardy.

When asked about a full time return for Brother Nero, Hardy did say it was possible.

“Yeah, I think so. I mean, I kind of feel like me wearing the face paint now, and breaking out the white contacts – it’s like a modified version of Brother Nero.” quote courtesy of WrestlingInc

Hardy even mentioned the possibility of Willow making an appearance at Hell in a Cell. Willow, of course, is another of Hardy’s characters from the “broken universe”.

Hardy went on to mention trying out something unforgettable at Hell in a Cell. It’s Hardy’s first Hell in a Cell match, and he says he wants it to be memorable. Whatever that is exactly, we’ll just have to wait and see.
