The Rock’s Daughter Simone Begins Training at WWE Performance Center

They sure grow up fast, don’t they? Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that Simone Johnson, daughter of the Great One himself, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has started training at the WWE Performance Center. So far, she is training part-time. That’s because Simone is still in high school. When she does graduate, she will likely continue training at a full-time status.

This information was leaked during Lilian Garcia’s “Chasing Glory” podcast which featured NXT and SmackDown Live star, Zelina Vega. Zelina continues to remain close with The Rock. For recollection purposes, Zelina was cast to play AJ Lee in Paige’s biopic, Fighting with my Family.

Of course, this isn’t much of a surprise. WWE is home to many second and third generation Superstars. In fact, we’ve even see Noelle Foley try her hand at the family business. Besides, Simone has admitted in the past that she would like to pursue a career in pro wrestling:

“It’s a sport that is unlike anything else in the world. There’s just a certain amount of passion that every move and match requires, and that’s so admirable. It’s definitely something I’ve thought about and want to pursue.”

Wow! Good for her!

When I look back at my high school years, I never would’ve been able to pinpoint exactly what I wanted to do when I “grew up.” It’s certainly an accomplishment that she is already focused on this.

I don’t think she’ll change her mind, either. Having The Rock as a coach, dad, and number one fan will surely keep her on the path to success. She also comes from a long line of professional wrestlers, so I think it’s fair to say that the business is in her blood. As a natural athlete, I think with the proper training at the NXT Performance Center, she’ll catch on with ease.

Looking forward to what Simone Johnson does in the future. In the meantime, I admire her for chasing her dreams immediately, without hesitation.
