With a few days until Hell in a Cell, here is the final match card for the upcoming pay-per-view.
Why isn’t every match inside Hell in a Cell?
Brie Bella & Daniel Bryan vs The Miz and Maryse
Ever since the early days of NXT, the Miz and Daniel Bryan have been at each other’s throats. With tensions reaching an all time high, will this match finally settle differences or make things worse?
(WWE Championship) Aj Styles (c) vs Samoa Joe
A match that should arguably be contested inside Hell in a Cell. AJ has been looking to get his hands on Joe ever since the Samoan taunted his wife. Joe has been unrelenting with his mind games and sneak attacks since SummerSlam.
(SmackDown Tag Team Championships) The New Day (c) vs Rusev Day
Rusev Day won a multi-team tournament to win the chance to face the New Day. The New Day beat the Bludgeon Brothers the SmackDown Live after SummerSlam.
(Universal Championship) Roman Reigns (c) vs Braun Strowman: Hell in a Cell with Mick Foley as special referee
This is Braun Strowman’s Money in the Bank cash in. The “Monster Among Men” challenged Roman the night after SummerSlam. The SHIELD have been fighting back against Braun and his unlikely alliance with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. With Mick Foley in the stripped shirt, will things be called evenly down the middle?
(RAW Women’s Championship) Ronda Rousey (c) vs Alexa Bliss
This match should be in a Hell in a Cell also, because of Ronda’s background with the UFC. Alexa invoked her rematch clause which is why this match was put together.
Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton: Hell in a Cell
It has been rumored that Jeff Hardy will attempt a Swanton Bomb off the roof of the Hell in a Cell. Though visually stunning, that would surely kill him.
Orton has been the Bane of Hardy’s existence as of late. Orton has washed the face paint off Hardy’s face. He has pulled on the gauge holes in Hardy’s ears. RKO has become the most feared initials in WWE since his mean streak began again. Can Hardy conquer his demons or will RKO run through him?
(SmackDown Women’s Championship) Charlotte Flair (c) vs Becky Lynch
Yet another Hell in a Cell worthy match. Becky Lynch turned her back on her former best friend. Becky has stated that she is sick and tired of Charlotte getting all the glory just for being a Flair. All while Becky had to fight for everything she has earned in the WWE. Charlotte is set out to prove she is more than just “Ric Flair’s daughter” and beat her former friend.
(RAW Tag Team Championship) Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre (c) vs Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins
Constable Baron Corbin announced this match after Rollins demanded a title opportunity. Can 2/3 of The SHIELD defeat the new alliance of McIntyre and Ziggler? Or will Shawn Michaels/Diesel 2.0 pull through and retain their titles?
