Daniel Bryan Might be Heading Out the Door

Take this rumor as such. However, we’ve already reported in the past that after Daniel Bryan’s contract expires, he might be running to the nearest exit. Of course, that was before the WWE cleared him to wrestle again. Things were looking hopeful for the underdog since being medically cleared, and fans got excited to see him square up against some of the greatest wrestlers in the world.

However, Wrestling Standard reports that the WWE is preparing for Daniel Bryan to leave the company. They’ve reported some large stories in the past. Supposedly, they are trying to get the most out of Bryan before his contract expires. He’s been interested in going elsewhere, most notably to Ring of Honor or NJPW.  So, they are putting him in some huge matches and have done so since his in-ring return.

The website literally calls it a “farewell tour” for Daniel. We’ll see him up against Nakamura, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and even Jeff Hardy. Undoubtedly, we can call all of these “dream matches” for the “YES” man. As a matter of fact, even the Team Hell No reunion is being viewed as part of the big farewell tour.

It is being rumored that Kane and Daniel Bryan’s match at Extreme Rules against the Bludgeon Brothers won’t see them winning any gold. Instead, it will end in a disqualification. The culprit? Well, he’s…awesome.

The Match We’ve Been Waiting For

That’s right, the much-anticipated feud is expected to begin soon. And from there, it will carry on into August and through SummerSlam. The back story between the Miz and Daniel Bryan is not only intriguing, but heated and exciting. Sure, we’ve seen it in the past, but they are two of the top performers in the company. Everything they do together is gold. For example…Talking Smack. But it’s not just limited to their talking skills. Check out this match from back when D-Bry was a baby:

Watching this both breaks my heart and brings back a weird sense of nostalgia. Their abilities match beautifully and flow effortlessly. Real-life beef aside, it is clear to me that they have a ton of respect for one another.

As far as the pay-per-view goes, the only thing that would make this duo clashing next month any better would be putting some gold on the line. Of course, since this feud has been years in the making, it doesn’t necessarily need a title to stand out. I just really, really wish I could see Daniel Bryan at the top one last time before he goes on to another company.
