What’s up with Nikki Bella and John Cena?
Are they together, or aren’t they? That’s the million-dollar question. One thing is for sure: Nikki Bella and John Cena definitely shocked the world when they announced their split at the end of last month.
But reports have been constantly conflicting since. On one hand, some reports say that Nikki broke things off because John was getting cold feet. Other reports say that they’ve actually been on the rocks for awhile. More recently, people.com reported that Nikki and John would be getting together again very soon because John “misses her and loves her.”
Of course, there are many people who are thinking that the entire break-up is a publicity stunt. Although the entire proposal at WrestleMania very much was all scripted, fans of Nikki and John point out that a break-up of this magnitude would be very low if it is only for Total Divas.
But then there are the reports that everyone is talking about.
Could John already be seeing someone else?
Well, that’s up for debate. Brad Shepard reported a Hollywood insider claimed Cena had moved on to another cast member of Total Divas. Through the process of elimination, the current SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, Carmella, was the most likely bachelorette.
Now, this is all speculation. Although this definitely hasn’t been confirmed by either party, it hasn’t been denied, either. Recently, Cena has been seen out partying without Nikki by his side in Tampa Bay. However, Brad Shepard has also revealed that the WWE is putting out fake reports, perhaps sterilizing the truth in the story. The report he directly points out as planted by the WWE is a US Weekly article which claims Nikki is still living in John’s apartment.
But that is not the case. Nikki herself has revealed that she’s been staying with Daniel Bryan and twin sister, Brie. In fact, the YouTube video in which she shares that information shows her clearly distraught over her current situation.
This is particularly interesting that there seem to be so many phony reports out there.

Because I have been admittedly following this breakup, I am just as confused as everyone else. I do think it’s legitimate, and I don’t believe Cena or Nikki would stoop so low as to fake the end of their relationship. However, I definitely think that the WWE is covering up a larger story.
Maybe there isn’t anything between Carmella and John. But there certainly is something that we don’t know, and everyone is likely being extremely cautious. As we know, the WWE goes to great lengths to protect their talent, and Cena is one of the big names they’d do that for. So, if he did something that is sketchy, WWE publicists are going to try and do damage control.
However, I can’t help but wonder why the WWE would want to cover up the breakup by claiming Nikki is still living in Cena’s apartment. WWE themselves tweeted that the pair broke up, so it isn’t like they haven’t acknowledged it yet. That in itself makes it look like a work.
But my official ruling (and not that I have any clue) on this is that it isn’t a work. Nope, I think it’s for real. But something shady happened, and it is undoubtedly being covered up.
Time will tell. We’ll find out sooner or later if Carmella’s time is now.
