Slavia Prague will host Chelsea on Thursday at Sinobo Stadium.
The home team is on a 10-match unbeaten run when they meet against Maurizio Sarri’s men.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have secured themselves in third place in Premier League standings after defeating West Ham last Monday night.
However, a top-four finish still hangs on the balance with Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United lurking.
On the other hand, the Prague side are coming off a 4-3 win over Sevilla and are looking at their best position in European competition ever.
Team News
Slavia manager Jindrich Trpisovsky will have available Vladimir Coufal who returns from suspension. However, he won’t count on Tomas Soucek due a one-match ban.
Meanwhile, Sarri have no major injuries on his side. However, Marcos Alonso and Ethan Ampadu remain doubtful until match day. Nonetheless, with an important match up against Liverpool next Monday, Sarri may have to shuffle some pieces around.
Predicted Lineups
Slavia Prague XI: Kolar; Deli, Ngadeu-Ngadjui, Kudela; Coufal, Traore, Husbauer, Kral, Boril; Stoch, Soka.
Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud, Willian.
Prediction
With the possibility of Chelsea coming out with their B team, Slavia is considered a slight favorite. However, Chelsea has played rather great away this season, collecting W’s at Malmo and Dynamo Kiev in the last two rounds. Additionally, Sarri will continue to make that good road stretch they have.
Meanwhile, the home team have ten different players on the scoring board. The trio of Miroslav Stoch, Ibrahim Traore and Jaromir Zmrhal have been fantastic during this European run.
A draw is in the works, however, an unexpected win by Slavia wouldn’t be surprising either.
Prediction: Slavia Prague 1 – 1 Chelsea
