More News on Arn Anderson’s WWE Firing
With quite a few Superstars requesting their release from the WWE, it came as quite a surprise that WWE Hall of Famer, Arn Anderson, was flat-out fired. Before the original details came out, fans were outraged. Why would the WWE let go of one of the key players in producing matches? Well, it appears more news is slowly rolling out following Anderson’s WWE firing.
First off, it is no secret now that Arn was let go after producing a match at a live event at the end of February. Unfortunately, one of the Superstars, Alicia Fox, showed up to wrestle intoxicated. Rather than pull Foxy from the match, Arn allowed her to go out there. Aside from obvious safety risks, Vince McMahon had been “furious” that Arn would allow it. Apparently, there have been issues with Arn in the past, and this was it for the Chairman.
Although Fox’s status with the company is unclear, multiple sources confirm that she was offered to go to rehab by the WWE, to which she declined.
Over the weekend, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the Superstars are fully behind Anderson. Apparently, nobody knew that Fox was drunk, and even if she acted brash, that wasn’t unusual, but just “Fox being Fox.” Superstars state that Arn didn’t know her intoxicated state until it was too late.
Furthermore, there is a rumor that Fox has stopped answering calls from the WWE completely. Of course, this is only a rumor right now.
