Fastlane 2019 Final Match Card and Last Minute Updates

We are officially on the road to WrestleMania. Buckle your seat belts, put the pedal to the metal, crank the radio, and disregard the safety of your fellow drivers, because we are in the Fastlane, baby…. Now that that’s out of my system, here’s the final match card for Fastlane 2019.

Card subject to change because WWE is about as predictable as the lottery.

(Pre-Show) Rey Mysterio vs Andrade

Rey Mysterio and Andrade “Don’t call me “Cien” Almas” always seem to put on show stealing matches when they are together. So, it is very interesting that this match is on the pre-show.

Andrade continues to mock Rey and Eddie Guerrero. Rey is seeking redemption after the continued attacks.

RAW Tag Team Championships Triple Threat Tag Team: The Revival (c) vs Roode & Gable vs Ricochet & Aleister Black

This match is the result of Gable & Roode attacking The Revival during their title defense against Black and Ricochet during RAW this past Monday. The odds are stacked against Dash and Dawson, but they can surely do their best and still drop the titles to Rick O’Shea and Aleister Black.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs Mac & Miz

So much for no more automatic rematches after losing a title. Sure, Shane McMahon is the commissioner of SmackDown and can theoretically do whatever he wants, but where does the madness end?

Miz just wants his dad to be proud and Shane wants him to have that luxury.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Boss N’ Hug Connection (c) vs Tamina & Nia Jax

To be fair, it is “women’s” championships and not “woman’s” championships; The latter just seems silly.

This is Bayley and Sasha Banks’s first title defense. Nia and Tamina kinda just challenged the champions. Good on Bayley and Sasha to accept the challenge, but Nia and Tamina didn’t really do much to earn the shot.

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Asuka (c) vs Mandy Rose

“Mandy…” Whispered the sultry disembodied voice.

Mandy Rose actually got a win over Asuka, which is what earned her this championship match. Can Mandy make it happen again, or will Asuka figuratively, maybe even literally, boot her head into the fourth row of the nosebleeds?

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair

If Becky wins, she is added to the RAW Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 35, because that’s what happens when you win the Royal Rumble. It’s not so cut and dry simple anymore. You need to win a boatload of matches before you earn the spot. Becky outlasted thirty other women to win and you thought that was enough to earn a shot? You fool, you absolute fool!

The term “So-and-so Wins or We Riot” comes to mind, but it may actually be literal this time. If Becky loses, the Quicken Loans Arena might get burned to the ground.

The SHIELD vs Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre

One last round…

Dean Ambrose is on his way out of the WWE. Roman wants one more match with his SHIELD brethren before time is up for Ambrose.

If this is really the end for Dean Ambrose, then this will be a near perfect swan song. If not… Well played, WWE, you got me.

WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs Kevin Owens

This was supposed to be Bryan vs Kofi Kingston, but “Professional Ruiner of Fun” Vincent Kennedy McMahon replaced Kofi with Kevin Owens.

Battle of the Ring of Honor alumni for the most prized title in WWE. Who will win, and why will it be Daniel?
