Player To Watch
Ky Bowman
Ky Bowman has been an absolute stud this year for Boston College and he will look to take control at home against the Cardinals. This season he is averaging 19.2 points per game, grabbing 7.5 rebounds per game and having 3.9 assists per game.
He has a field goal percentage of .417 and .384 from behind the arc. Bowman will look to attack the Cardinals interior defense and exploit matchups. Last time he struggled against Louisville, shooting 6-17 from the field and missing all 6 attempts from the 3 point line. Bowman has struggled a bit over his past 4 games, so look for him to get back on track.
Prediction
Boston College has not been too good this season. Sitting at 13-13 (.500) They are coming off of losses at Clemson and at NC State. However, they are riding a 2 game win streak at home. Look for them to put up a tough fight out of the gate and at the end of the game to give the Cards a run for their money. The Cardinals, on the other hand, are playing their worst stretch of basketball this season. 1-5 in their last 6 games. Although they had tough matchups against Virginia, Duke and Florida State, the play has been disappointing.
The Cardinals started with an 80-75 loss to FSU in which the Cardinals racked up 23 turnovers. Then they blew a 23 point lead against Duke, which resulted in a 71-69 loss. Then, the Cardinals did get a win at home against the Clemson Tigers, but it would likely have been a loss if not for a last-second block by Jordan Nwora. The Cards followed that up with an embarrassing 69-49 loss at Syracuse. They did look better in the most recent game against Virginia, but they threw away a 10 point lead at half time to lose 64-52.
The Cards will need to make major adjustments on offense and will probably struggle throughout the game. The defense, however, will likely come in clutch to give them a win on the road.
