Roma Considers Sarri To Replace Di Francesco

Roma is considering a move for Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, according to La Repubblica.

The report indicates that Roma consultant Franco Baldini and President James Pallotta had dinner in London with the 60-year-old manager. Additionally, at the meeting Roma proposed to Sarri to take over for Eusebio Di Francesco at the end of the season.

The newspapers also indicates that Di Francesco will likely make way for an exit. In addition, sporting director, Monchi, is also expected to leave the Italian side, with Manchester United and Arsenal lurking for his services.

The Italian tactician is struggling to settle in southwest London. At the moment, the Blues sit sixth on the standings and outside Champions League. Not qualifying to the prestigious competition may cost him the job at the end of the season, regardless.

However, some also believe he lose his job if he loses the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday.

Roma are unsatisfied with the sensation manager Di Francesco after their disastrous 7-1 loss to Fiorentina in Coppa Italia. Nevertheless, Roma sit fifth in Serie A with 25 points.
