The Story
D-Generation X is one of the most memorable stables from throughout WWE’s history. The original trio consists of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Chyna. Later on, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn will join them. Then, after his release from WCW, X-Pac would join the group. Rick Rude and Hornswoggle are also former members, but WWE isn’t including them for one reason or another.
DX was created during WWF/E’s Attitude Era to bring an edgy product to the audience. During the group’s run, Shawn Michaels won the WWF Championship. After HBK’s first retirement, Triple would bring in the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac. Though they portray themselves as heels, the crowd cheered for them and eventually turned them baby face.
DX faded away after the beginning of the new millennium. HBK and Triple H would reform the group in several tag team matches, the most recent reunion being at Crown Jewel last year.
Now they will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 35 weekend.
Chyna
Ever since her passing in 2014, fans are demanding that the former WWE Women’s and Intercontinental champion gets an immortalized spot in the Hall of Fame.
During an episode of the Stone Cold Podcast, Austin asked Triple H when Chyna would get that spot in the Hall of Fame. Triple H says that Chyna does deserve a spot in the Hall, but he isn’t sure he should because of Chyna’s time in the adult entertainment business.
When news broke that Chyna will be included in the D-Generation X Hall of Fame induction, fans and wrestlers alike praised the honor that she is receiving.

The WWE Hall of Fame is the highest honor in professional wrestling today. Each member of this group arguably deserves a spot in the Hall (especially HBK, who will be inducted twice after DX is in). Some people criticize WWE for not inducting Chyna by herself, but DX is where she got her start in WWF/E.
Throughout the coming weeks, more people will be announced for the 2019 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. If the next inductees are as big as D-Generation X, then this will be a memorable year for the Hall of Fame.
