SmackDown Recap for the February 12, 2019 Episode of SmackDown Live
The First of Two Hours
This week’s episode starts with a recap of the previous night’s Monday Night RAW. Charlotte Flair takes to the ring after the end of the video.
Charlotte tells the audience that WrestleMania is her destiny because of who she is. She says that she doesn’t feel bad for Becky no longer being in the WrestleMania match. Charlotte says she is the only one who could defeat Ronda Rousey anyway because she is the backbone of the women’s division.
Charlotte says Mr. McMahon is choosing her because Becky is just a “flash in the pan”. She says her match at ‘Mania will be as good as her other pay-per-view matches.
Triple Threat Women’s Tag Team With the Losers Entering the Women’s Tag Team Elimination Chamber first with Boss N’ Hug Connection: Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs Naomi & Carmella vs The IIconics
Result: Naomi pins Mandy
- Naomi hits a Split-Leg Moonsault for the win
After the match, The IIconics jump Naomi and Carmella. This leads into a PS2 era 3D blueprint of how the Women’s Tag Team championships Elimination Chamber will play out.
Mustafa Ali takes a moment to address his injury.
The Miz and Shane McMahon come out to host the first ever edition of “McMiz TV”. They invite their guests, The Usos, out to the ring. Jimmy and Jey say Miz and Shane are a joke of a tag team because they aren’t like the traditional tag team. The Miz and Shane say they are just as good as any other team, and their titles prove that. Jimmy and Jey start a Superkick party and layout Shane and Miz.
6-Man Gauntlet with the Winner Entering the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Last: Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston vs Samoa Joe vs Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles vs Randy Orton
Result: Randy Orton last eliminates AJ Styles to officially become the last entrant in the Elimination Chamber
- Before the match begins, Daniel Bryan says his participation in the Elimination Chamber is necessary to remain the planet’s champion because he will be a martyr for the planet’s sake
- The New Day reveal Kofi Kingston will be the one to compete at Elimination Chamber
- Kofi eliminates Bryan, Hardy, and Joe
- Kofi is the Ironman, making it over three-quarters of the way through the match
- AJ eliminates Kofi with the Calf Crusher
- Randy Orton comes out of nowhere and hits the RKO for the final fall. He will be the last entrant in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber
