Arsenal and Manchester United lock horns at the Emirates Stadium on the kick off day of the FA Cup.

The two most successful clubs come to this match with several different story-lines. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer going for eight in a row and Unai Emery’s side come into the game after convincingly defeating Chelsea 2-0.

The pair have lifted the trophy on 25 separate occasions with Arsenal winning 13 of them.

Views From Both Camps

Emery knows this is a changed Manchester United side with the emergence of Solskjaer.

“It’s a different team.”

“It’s the same players but they are playing with a big performance now. I was watching their last matches and and each player has a lot of confidence, with big performances, and now they are very dangerous.”

However, the Gunners will be with Hector Bellerin who suffered a cruciate ligament injury. Additionally, Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are also not expected for this matchup due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar expresses his love for the FA Cup.

“The games against Arsenal were the fiercest battles we had during my time in England.”

“They won the double, we won the treble and the games were just fantastic because they were the two top teams. We had a great team and they had a very good one. It was a special rivalry and I’m not sure the Premier League has seen anything like it since, although perhaps Manchester City and Liverpool at the moment are close.”

It looks like Solskjaer will lineup Sergio Romero instead of David de Gea, who appears to have not traveled with the team to London. Antonio Valencia, Maroune Fellaini, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo are all set to miss action this week.

Possible Lineup

Arsenal XI: Cech; Maitland-Niles, Monreal, Sokratis, Mustafi; Xhaka, Torreira, Ozil, Iwobi; Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Manchester United XI: Romero; Dalot, Jones, Lindelof, Darmian; Matic, Pogba, Mata; Sanchez, Rashford, Lukaku.

Prediction

The home side are favorites at home against the Red Devils. However, Ole Gunnar’s side are on a good winning streak. Nonetheless, the battles between the two sides have always been entertaining and something tells me the story will not be concluded today and both side will end up splitting the count.

Arsenal 2 – 2 Manchester United
