During the October 22, 2018 edition of Monday Night RAW, we saw Roman Reigns introduce himself as Joe; and that he had been dealing with Leukemia for ten years. The cancer had returned, and he was not able to compete. Instead, he stated he’d be relinquishing the Universal Championship. Since then, there hasn’t been much chatter. So, what’s going on with Roman Reigns? Seth Rollins gives us an update on Roman Reigns.
Seth Rollins Gives Update on Roman Reigns
According to Fox 2 News, Rollins gave an update on Roman Reigns:
“Roman is doing great. He spent the holidays home with his family, and [he’s] doing really good.”
“He’s in a good position. He is prime to make a comeback hopefully sometime sooner rather than later. But at the end of the day, he is just focused on getting healthy right now. I will say this–he’s doing good.”
What’s Next?
Retirement is not an option for the former WWE Universal Champion. Reigns has determination to come back to prove to the world that he can overcome every obstacle life throws at him.
Roman Reigns had this to say:
“After I am done whooping Leukemia’s ass, once again, I’m coming home.”
“I want to show my family, my friends, my children and my wife that when life throws a curveball at me, I am the type of man who will stand in that batter’s box. I will crowd the plate, I will choke up, and I will swing for the fences every single time!”
Writer’s Notes
It’s always tough to see our favorite wrestlers deal with any injuries or sickness. My thoughts and prayers go out to Anoa’i family, and I wish Roman a speedy recovery. We can’t wait to see you return to the ring. Keep on fighting, and beat cancer in the butt!
