Superstar Shakeups that NEED to Happen

Recently, WWE released via Twitter that Vince McMahon was heading to the main roster to “shake things up.” Of course, they haven’t exactly said they were doing another Superstar Shakeup, but one can assume. It is without a doubt that the WWE knows that their product is beginning to dwindle, and the fan base is going right along with it.

There are some reports circulating that the WWE has something major planned for the company in early 2019. If those plans are indeed major call-ups, hires, and shakeups, I’ve come up with a list of a few switches that I think really ought to happen.

1. Sasha Banks to SmackDown Live

Sasha, Charlotte, Becky, and Bayley each had great potential on the main roster. While Charlotte has certainly risen to the top and Becky finally finding her stride, the other two are just floating. Unfortunately, Sasha and Bayley have been caught in an on again/off again partnership that doesn’t seem to go away. This might be fine if the WWE really does introduce the Women’s Tag Team Championships. But honestly, it is time to put an end to the silliness. I think bringing Sasha to SmackDown Live will not only help her seemingly low morale, but give her a resurgence that she really needs. Plus, the star power the girl brings is undeniable.

2. Sonya Deville to RAW

The Riott Squad came, saw, and conquered. So, I don’t think they’re going to break up anytime soon. However, Absolution is a different story. Sonya has been impressive lately, and it looks like she’ll be heading for a nice push. Breaking away from Mandy for good might be the best option here to really put her in a spotlight situation. Plus, it will give Mandy a moment to shine alone, too. Although I don’t think Sonya will be taking on Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship anytime soon, at the very least she can climb her way through the ranks to prove herself worthy of a title shot.

3. Aleister Black to SmackDown Live

Really, Black could go either way here. I put him on SD specifically because I can already see the fantastic possibilities that could happen with the current Champion, Daniel Bryan. With Bryan’s heel turn, pushing Aleister Black straight to the top is a surefire way to get even casual watchers intrigued. The guy is odd, quiet, and a certified badass. With his move set, I think fans will get behind this Superstar very quickly.

4. Shayna Baszler to RAW

Her time as an NXT Superstar might be coming to a close. The next time she takes a loss will likely be the last time with the developmental brand. Shayna has grown as a performer within the last year, and aligning her with Ronda is a great start to her main roster run. This also is something that Ronda needs, because Shayna is such a monstrous heel that it will turn Ronda heel, too. And really, can you be the “baddest woman on the planet” when you’re trying to smile pretty for the camera? Eh.

Oh yeah, and seeing her take on Ember Moon again would be pretty rad.

5. Finn Balor to SmackDown Live

As the first-ever Universal Champion, you would think that Finn would be at the top of the red brand. And although he seemed to gain some traction, he still really isn’t breaking through. A likely fix would be to send him to SmackDown Live to give him a lengthy feud with some of the top guys there. Balor, as the Demon, ought to eventually win the WWE Championship from either Daniel Bryan or my other pick, Aleister Black. The WWE needs to give him a little bit more of a push…but as a heel. Here’s hoping 2019 is great for Finn!

6. AJ Styles to RAW

With the way the Champ helped raise up SmackDown Live, one has to wonder if he could do the same for RAW. And in my opinion…of course he can! AJ can take on the Beast Incarnate. AJ can go toe-to-toe on the mic with Paul Heyman. AJ can defend the belt against whoever they put against him in a believable, nail-biter of a match. Once Styles is done resting up, I believe, with certainty, he will end up on the RAW roster.

So, what do you guys think? I didn’t include tag teams, because I think those need a complete overhaul before we can fit them into the equation. The Tag Team Division is a solid mess.

Do you agree with my picks? Is there a certain Superstar you think should be moved? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
