Arsenal vs Tottenham Preview

With both teams in fine form, Arsenal are on an 18 game unbeaten run. Tottenham have beaten Chelsea and Inter in the past week. It appears as though it’s going to be a cracking North London Derby.

Arsenal host Tottenham at the Emirates on a Super Sunday of Derbies. Harry Kane will be looking to extend his excellent North London derby record when Tottenham take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The England international has hit the net seven times in seven league matches against the local rivals. Six goals to his name in his last eight appearances for club and country, the star striker is odds-on to fire past the Gunners once again.

Dele Alli scored in just the eighth minute of last weekend’s 3-1 win over Chelsea. And Son Heung-Min scored probably the most spectacular of Tottenham’s three goals in that victory.

They will be gunning to make an impact. Especially considering goals are being contributed from all over the pitch, Kane [7], Lamela [4], Son [4], Alli [2]. With Christian Eriksen, who has 4 assists pulling the strings from midfield.

Unai Emery’s men have scored three-quarters of their goals in the second half, so you can expect a thrilling end to the Derby. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored a league-high eight goals from just his last eight shots on target.

His strike partner Alexandre Lacazette will also be looking to add to his tally of 5 league goals in 9 league starts. Mesut Ozil did not even make it off the bench in last weekend’s victory over Bournemouth but will be looking to make an impact.

Lineups:

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Torreira; Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette

Tottenham (4-3-3): Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Sissoko, Dier, Eriksen; Son, Kane, Alli

Predictions:

With both teams in good form, Tottenham might just have the edge after two big wins against Chelsea last weekend and Inter in midweek. But Arsenal is dangerous in attack and can be backed to score. Momentum is high at both clubs and the derby is poised to be a classic.

Predicted Score: 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur
