College Basketball
College Hoops Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 18th, 2018
Ranked Game(s)
‘Ranked Games’ feature schools that find themselves within the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Rankings, regardless of who their opponent is.
#18 Michigan Wolverines (4-0) vs. Providence Friars (3-1)
Time: 1:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena
Network: ESPN
Game Note: Michigan looks like Top-10 contenders and deserves considerations for another deep March Madness run. Their conference is better than it was a year ago, so they will be battle tested throughout the year. Providence stands as a solid adversary, despite underperforming for a majority of the early season.
Virginia Military Institute Keydets (3-1) @ #10 Kentucky Wildcats (2-1)
Time: 6 p.m. (est)
Location: Lexington, Kentucky, USA @ the Rupp Arena
Network: SEC Network
Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (0-4) @ #11 Michigan State Spartans (2-1)
Time: 6 p.m. (est)
Location: East Lansing, Michigan, USA @ the Breslin Center
Network: BTN
Pennsylvania Quakers (4-0) vs. #12 Kansas State Wildcats (3-0)
Time: 7:30 p.m. (est)
Location: St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands @ the Sports and Fitness Center
Game Note: This has big upset alert written all over it. Penn comes in with a ton of momentum and experience. There is experience on Kansas State’s team as well, but the Wildcats have had to fight and claw against mediocre teams to reach their current 3-0 status. Kansas State may win a tight one, or Penn may actually win.
#16 Virginia Tech Hokies (3-0) vs.#23 Purdue Boilermakers (4-0)
Time: 8:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA @ the TD Arena
Network: ESPN2
Game Note: This is the best game on the slate for Sunday, with two easy Top-10 schools going head-to-head. It’s almost a shame that one of these teams will fall in the rankings after this. Both play great defense and can score in multiple ways. What’s scary about the Hokies dominating performances is that they have been without two of their better players.
Non-ranked DI Games
‘Non-ranked DI Games’ feature schools that are outside of the AP Top 25, but both teams are DI schools.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-1) vs. Valparaiso Crusaders (2-1)
Time: 10:30 a.m. (est)
Location: Conway, South Carolina, USA @ The HTC Center
Network: ESPNU
Game Note: The Demon Deacons have not been impressive while in South Carolina the past few days. This is now a bit of a concern for head coach Danny Manning, who is entering his fifth season with the team while 20 games under .500 there. If the South Carolina games are any indication, Manning may be in some serious trouble near the season’s end. Hopefully, that isn’t the case.
Ball State Cardinals (1-3) vs. Appalachian State Mountaineers (1-3)
Time: 11 a.m. (est)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA @ the TD Arena
Network: ESPN3
Game Note: Both teams suffered disappointing losses after promising opening round games. This is a pretty big game for both team’s moving forward, although they will remain relevant for a majority of the conference play.
Siena Saints (2-1) vs. Holy Cross Crusaders (2-2)
Time: 11 a.m. (est)
Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena
Network: ESPN3
Game Note: The Saints can shoot the three ball, which is something their head coach has been consistent within his career. Holy Cross is coming off an impressive win, 14 points over undefeated Stony Brook. This is a very intriguing matchup between two teams with promise, as Holy Cross only lost to Providence by nine points earlier this year.
South Florida Bulls (3-0) vs. Georgetown Hoyas (3-1)
Time: Noon (est)
Location: Montego Bay, Jamaica @ the Montego Bay Convention Center
Network: CBSSN
Game Note: Georgetown will look to forget an upset loss against Loyola-Marymount, who is better than advertised. USF has been a pleasant 3-0 team so far, with a surprisingly dominant win over the Ohio Bobcats. This game will be very telling for both programs moving forward.
Youngstown State Penguins (2-3) vs. Florida International Panthers (4-1)
Time: Noon (est)
Location: Bronx, New York, USA @ the Rose Hill Gymnasium
California-Davis Aggies (1-3) @ Texas-Arlington Mavericks (2-1)
Time: 1 p.m. (est)
Location: Arlington, Texas, USA @ the College Park Center
Network: ESPN+
Texas Southern Tigers (1-3) @ Evansville Purple Aces (1-2)
Time: 1 p.m. (est)
Location: Evansville, Indiana, USA @ the Ford Center
Network: ESPN+
Game Note: Evansville has looked much better since being blown out in their season-opener in Illinois. The Purple Aces have the potential to be relevant in their conference but will need to continue improving beginning with this game. Texas Southern has been fun to watch too and probably have a better chance to reach March Madness due to the conference they play in.
California State Fullerton Titans (1-3) vs. Monmouth Hawks (0-5)
Time: 1 p.m. (est)
Location: Conway, South Carolina, USA @ The HTC Center
Network: ESPN3
Sacred Heart Pioneers (2-2) vs. Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks (2-3)
Time: 1:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Providence, Rhode Island, USA @ the Pizzitola Sports Center
Network: ESPN+
Alabama Crimson Tide (3-1) vs. Wichita State Shockers (2-2)
Time: 1:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA @ the TD Arena
Network: ESPNU
Game Note: It seems the Shockers are playing in a must-win game each night, as this game will be no different. This game may go a long way when deciding at-large bids, so this must be seen as an important matchup for both schools. Alabama looked much better in their win over Ball State after an embarrassing loss to Northeastern prior.
South Carolina State Bulldogs (1-3) @ Ohio State Buckeyes (3-0)
Time: 2 p.m. (est)
Location: Columbus, Ohio, USA @ the Value City Arena
Game Note: If Ohio State wins, which they should, they’ll more than likely find themselves in the AP Top-25 on Monday.
Bryant Bulldogs (1-2) @ Navy Midshipmen (1-2)
Time: 2 p.m. (est)
Location: Annapolis, Maryland, USA @ the Alumni Hall
Wofford Terriers (2-1) @ Oklahoma Sooners (2-0)
Time: 2 p.m. (est)
Location: Norman, Oklahoma, USA @ the Lloyd Noble Center
Game Note: This is a game Wofford can win, especially coming off an extra day of rest. Their game against Stanford was postponed due to the wildfires. Oklahoma needs to win to prove they are worthy of March Madness considerations, albeit a down conference this season.
St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers (1-2) @ Lafayette Leopards (1-2)
Time: 2 p.m. (est)
Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Kirby Sports Center
Austin Peay Governors (2-2) vs. Campbell Camels (2-2)
Time: 2:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Montego Bay, Jamacia @ the Montego Bay Convention Center
Network: CBSSN
Central Arkansas Bears (2-2) @ Troy Trojans (1-3)
Time: 3 p.m. (est)
Location: Troy, Alabama, USA @ the Trojan Arena
Chattanooga Mocs (2-3) vs. Jacksonville Dolphins (0-4)
Time: 3:05 p.m. (est)
Location: Mobile, Alabama, USA @ the Mitchell Center
North Carolina-Asheville Bulldogs (1-3) vs. Manhattan Jaspers (1-2)
Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA @ the BB&T Arena
Network: ESPN3
Indiana Hoosiers (3-0) @ Arkansas Razorbacks (1-1)
Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA @ the Bud Walton Arena
Network: ESPN
Game Note: Arkansas has played a tough three-game schedule to start the season. Now they face Indiana, who is looking like an easy AP Top-25 team after demolishing Marquette. Arkansas played Texas exceptionally well, and although the talent may not be there the heart certainly is. Indiana should win but Arkansas won’t be easy to back down.
Air Force Falcons (1-2) vs. South Dakota Coyotes (2-1)
Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Bimini, Bahamas @ the Gateway Christian Academy
South Carolina Gamecocks (2-2) vs. George Washington Colonials (0-4)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena
Network: ESPN2
Mount Saint Mary’s Mountaineers (0-3) @ Maryland Terrapins (4-0)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: College Park, Maryland, USA @ the XFINITY Center
Network: BTN
Charleston Cougars (3-0) @ Oklahoma State Cowboys (1-1)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA @ the Gallagher-Iba Arena
Game Note: Charleston can win this game, as they are serious contenders for a CAA title. Oklahoma State improved in their last game when comparing it to their opener in Charlotte. Oklahoma State has shown signs of weary in the second half of games, something they can’t afford in this one.
Southern Utah Thunderbirds (2-0) @ Seattle Redhawks (3-1)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Seattle, Washington, USA @ the Redhawk Center
Alcorn State Braves (1-2) @ Kent State Golden Flashes (2-1)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Kent, Ohio, USA @ the MAC Center
Network: ESPN+
Army Black Knights (1-3) @ Brown Bears (2-2)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Providence, Rhode Island, USA @ the Pizzitola Sports Center
Network: ESPN+
St. Joseph’s Hawks (3-1) vs. West Virginia Mountaineers (1-2)
Time: 4 p.m. (est)
Location: Conway, South Carolina, USA @ The HTC Center
Network: ESPNU
Game Note: The Mountaineers have hit a tough time in their first three games, dropping two games to mid-major teams. Buffalo is a serious threat, however, and Western Kentucky has a very good chance to end up in March Madness. However, this game won’t be easier as West Virginia finds themselves up against another mid-major team atop their conference. The Hawks can shoot, despite being held down by defensive juggernaut Central Florida their last game.
Samford Bulldogs (4-0) @ Cleveland State Vikings (2-2)
Time: 5 p.m. (est)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio, USA @ the Wolstein Center
Network: ESPN+
Columbia Lions (0-3) @ Fordham Rams (3-1)
Time: 5 p.m. (est)
Location: Bronx, New York, USA @ the Rose Hill Gymnasium
Network: ESPN+
Oregon State Beavers (3-0) vs. Missouri Tigers (2-1)
Time: 5:30 p.m. (est)
Location: St. Thomas, the Virginia Islands @ the Sports and Fitness Center
Game Note: The Beavers look good through three games, and are dark horses in the Pac-12. They survived a brutal game against C-USA contender Old Dominion, as they now face a Missouri team down on talent this season.
Central Michigan Chippewas (3-1) vs. San Jose State Spartans (1-3)
Time: 6 p.m. (est)
Location: Bimini, Bahamas @ the Gateway Christian Academy
Northeastern Huskies (2-2) vs. Davidson Wildcats (3-1)
Time: 6 p.m. (est)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA @ the TD Arena
Network: ESPNU
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (3-2) @ Northern Kentucky Norse (4-0)
Time: 6:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA @ the BB&T Arena
Network: ESPN+
Ohio Bobcats (2-1) vs. Loyola-Marymount Lions (4-0)
Time: 6:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Montego Bay, Jamaica @ the Montego Bay Convention Center
Network: CBSSN
Game Note: Ohio is coming off a very bad loss at the hands of South Florida. On the other end of that spectrum is Loyola-Marymount, coming off a huge win over Georgetown.
Central Florida Knights (3-1) vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (3-1)
Time: 6:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Conway, South Carolina, USA @ The HTC Center
Network: ESPN2
Game Note: Western Kentucky proved their worth by defeating West Virginia to get here. UCF displayed great defense in their matchup against hot-shooting St. Joseph’s. This is a great mid-major matchup between two schools who have a very good chance of making March Madness.
Santa Clara Broncos (0-2) vs. Washington Huskies (2-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada @ the Convention Center
Network: ESPN3
Weber State Wildcats (3-1) vs. California State Bakersfield Roadrunners (2-2)
Time: 8:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Bimini, Bahamas @ the Gateway Christian Academy
Florida A&M Rattlers (2-1) vs. Central Connecticut Blue Devils (2-2)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Montego Bay, Jamacia @ the Montego Bay Convention Center
Network: CBSSN
Long Island-Brooklyn Blackbirds (3-0) @ San Francisco Dons (3-0)
Time: 10 p.m. (est)
Location: San Francisco, California, USA @ the War Memorial Gymnasium
Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-0) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (1-2)
Time: 10:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada @ the Convention Center
Network: ESPN2
Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (2-1) @ Hawaii Warriors (2-1)
Time: 11 p.m. (est)
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, USA @ the Stan Sheriff Center
Non-DI Opponent Games
Finally, the ‘Non-DI Opponent Games’ feature non-ranked DI schools who are matched up against a school in DII or lower.

Allen Yellow Jackets @ North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks (0-3)
Time: 2 p.m. (est)
