Ranked Game(s)

‘Ranked Games’ feature schools that find themselves within the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Rankings, regardless of who their opponent is.

#18 Michigan Wolverines (3-0) vs. George Washington Colonials (0-3)

Time: Noon (est)

Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: Michigan put everybody on notice after destroying reigning National Champion Villanova. More impressive was the fact it was done on the road for Michigan, as last year’s runner-up clearly didn’t forget about losing. A motivated Michigan team looks extremely dangerous, as they are clearly hungry for more. As for the Colonials, they can’t really play much worse than they have already. Learning from this game to prepare for conference play is the main goal now.

Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-1) @ #24 Marquette Golden Eagles (2-1)

Time: 1 p.m. (est)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA @ the Fiserv Forum

Game Note: It’s safe to say Marquette will not be in next week’s Associated Press (AP) Top-25. Indiana exposed Marquette’s weaknesses, as they were completely outmatched against a very underrated Hoosiers squad. There is still plenty of time to improve on the season, but it seems this Marquette team is ‘copy and paste’ year after year under Steve Wojciechowski.

Furman Paladins (4-0) @ #8 Villanova Wildcats (2-1)

Time: 5 p.m. (est)

Location: Villanova, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Finneran Pavilion

Network: FS2

Game Note: It doesn’t matter how many National Championships this Wildcat team has won in the past, if they perform as they did against Michigan they will get beat. Furman is a very dangerous team from the SoCon, improving over the past three or four seasons with a full blossom now. Normally the Wildcats are a sure pick, which they should without a doubt be the favorites here. However, Furman already knocked off one Final Four team from a year ago, so two is definitely possible.

Non-ranked DI Games

‘Non-ranked DI Games’ feature schools that are outside of the AP Top 25, but both teams are DI schools.

North Alabama Lions (1-2) @ Pittsburgh Panthers (4-0)

Time: Noon (est)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Petersen Events Center

Network: ACC Network

Game Note: Jeff Capel III’s team has been vastly better than what they were a season ago. Despite the easy schedule and amount of home games, there is much for Pitt fans to be excited about this season. No, they won’t win or finish top the ACC, but they can finish near the middle which is good enough for a March Madness bid.

William & Mary Tribe (1-2) @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-1)

Time: Noon (est)

Location: South Bend, Indiana, USA @ the Purcell Pavilion

Network: ACC Network

Game Note: The Fighting Irish will try to forget a tough loss to Big South favorite Radford. Notre Dame is young, so this season will be growing pains throughout. Notre Dame may start the season slow, but have the potential to finish strong.

Radford Highlanders (3-0) vs. Duquesne Dukes (2-0)

Time: Noon (est)

Location: Akron, Ohio, USA @ the St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Gymnasium

Network: ESPN+

Game Note: The team that upset Notre Dame travels again, this time to face a solid mid-major program in Duquesne. The venue is a high school, where Lebron James played basketball. It will be interesting to see if that has any factor in this game, but these are two solid mid-major schools with realistically high expectations this season.

Wagner Seahawks (1-2) @ Fairfield Stags (1-2)

Time: 1 p.m. (est)

Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA @ the Webster Bank Arena

Network: ESPN3

Maine Black Bears (0-3) @ North Carolina State Wolfpack (3-0)

Time: 2 p.m. (est)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, USA @ the PNC Arena

Network: ACC Network

Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (2-2) @ Miami-Florida Hurricanes (2-0)

Time: 2 p.m. (est)

Location: Coral Gables, Florida, USA @ the Watsco Center

Network: ACC Network

South Carolina Gamecocks (2-1) vs. Providence Friars (2-1)

Time: 2:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: This is a very big out-of-conference game for both programs. Both teams are trying to put a loss behind them in games they could’ve won. Providence was ‘too little too late’ against Wichita State as South Carolina allowed Stony Brook to come back and beat them. This game could very well set the course for each team’s season moving forward.

Boston Terriers (3-1) @ Eastern Michigan Eagles (3-1)

Time: 2:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA @ the Convocation Center

Network: ESPN3

East Tennessee State Buccaneers (1-2) @ Winthrop Eagles (2-1)

Time: 2:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA @ the Winthrop Coliseum

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: The Buccaneers are 1-2, but they are still favored to compete near the top of the SoCon. Winthrop also has high expectations themselves, believing to be one of the better Big South teams. This should be a fun battle between two solid mid-major schools in the south.

Prairie View A&M Panthers (1-2) @ Lamar Cardinals (1-2)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Beaumont, Texas, USA @ the Montagne Center

Network: ESPN3

Northwestern State Demons (1-2) @ Rice Owls (2-2)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Houston, Texas, USA @ the Tudor Fieldhouse

Texas State Bobcats (2-0) @ Drake Bulldogs (1-1)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa, USA @ The Knapp Center

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: Texas State has started this season pretty well, defeating Air Force by 10 in their season-opener. Their schedule only gets easier from there. After Drake, Texas State will see California Polytechnic, South Carolina-Upstate, Portland, Rice, Houston Baptist, and Texas-Rio Grande Valley before taking on a threat in Arkansas. There are some potential losses sprinkled in, but Texas State should see much more success earlier in their season rather than later.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders (3-1) vs. California-Davis Aggies (0-3)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Arlington, Texas, USA @ the College Park Center

Game Note: The Islanders are coming off a huge high, defeating UT-Arlington on their home court in comeback fashion. This is a very confident 3-1 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi squad, as they now face a hungry UC-Davis team who has played below expectations so far this season.

North Florida Ospreys (1-2) @ Wright State Raiders (2-1)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, USA @ the Nutter Center

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: Wright State bounced back nicely against a good Toledo team after getting blown out by Murray State. This should be another game the Raiders win, as it seems their conference foe Northern Kentucky has passed them as the new Horizon League favorites.

Youngstown State Penguins (2-2) @ Fordham Rams (2-1)

Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Bronx, New York, USA @ the Rose Hill Gymnasium

Network: ESPN+

Army Black Knights (1-2) vs. Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks (1-3)

Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Providence, Rhode Island, USA @ the Pizzitola Sports Center

Network: ESPN+

Albany Great Danes (0-2) @ Canisius Golden Griffins (1-0)

Time: 3:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Buffalo, New York, USA @ the Koessler Athletic Center

Network: ESPN3

Drexel Dragons (1-2) @ La Salle Explorers (0-3)

Time: 4 p.m. (est)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Tom Gola Arena

Network: ESPN+

Southern Jaguars (0-3) @ George Mason Patriots (0-3)

Time: 4 p.m. (est)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, USA @ the EagleBank Arena

Network: ESPN+

Game Note: Something has to give in this game, with two winless programs. George Mason’s is a bit more inexcusable, relinquishing second-half leads in all three losses. George Mason should get back on track here, but at this point, it’s hard to put any faith into the Patriots.

Cornell Big Red (2-2) @ New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders (4-0)

Time: 4 p.m. (est)

Location: Newark, New Jersey, USA @ the NJIT Wellness and Events Center

Network: ESPN+

Game Note: Don’t look now, but the Highlanders are undefeated four games in. This will be a good test game for NJIT, against a Cornell team who can compete on their own. It’ll be interesting to see if NJIT will become conference contenders in the Atlantic Sun, as Lipscomb and Florida Gulf Coast are the early team favorites.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (2-2) vs. North Carolina-Asheville Bulldogs (1-2)

Time: 4:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA @ the BB&T Arena

Network: ESPN3

Stetson Hatters (1-2) @ Southeastern Louisiana Lins (1-3)

Time: 5 p.m. (est)

Location: Hammond, Louisiana, USA @ the University Center

Montana State Fighting Bobcats (1-3) @ California-Santa Barbara Gauchos (2-1)

Time: 5 p.m. (est)

Location: Santa Barbara, California, USA @ The Thunderdome

Chattanooga Mocs (2-2) vs. Southeast Missouri State Redhawks (2-2)

Time: 5:05 p.m. (est)

Location: Mobile, Alabama, USA @ the Mitchell Center

Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks (0-3) @ North Texas Mean Green (5-0)

Time: 6 p.m. (est)

Location: Denton, Texas, USA @ the UNT Coliseum

Alabama A&M Bulldogs (0-3) @ Brigham Young Cougars (3-1)

Time: 6 p.m. (est)

Location: Provo, Utah, USA @ the Marriott Center

New Mexico State Aggies (2-1) @ New Mexico Lobos (2-0)

Time: 6 p.m. (est)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA @ the Dreamstyle Arena

Game Note: This is a pretty big inter-state rivalry game. New Mexico is still trying to find their rhythm, despite a 2-0 start. The Aggies are coming off of a disappointing loss themselves after losing big to St. Mary’s.

Florida International Panthers (3-1) vs. Columbia Lions (0-2)

Time: 6 p.m. (est)

Location: Bronx, New York, USA @ the Rose Hill Gymnasium

Sacred Heart Pioneers (2-1) @ Brown Bears (1-2)

Time: 6 p.m. (est)

Location: Providence, Rhode Island, USA @ the Pizzitola Sports Center

Network: ESPN+

Mississippi Valley State Devils (0-4) @ Robert Morris Colonials (1-2)

Time: 7 p.m. (est)

Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA @ the North Athletic Complex

Lipscomb Bisons (2-1) @ Southern Methodist Mustangs (2-1)

Time: 7 p.m. (est)

Location: Dallas, Texas, USA @ the Moody Coliseum

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: The Bisons will look to get back on track after a close loss to Belmont. The loss shouldn’t discourage Bison believers, as Belmont is a tourney team and Lipscomb still favored in the Atlantic Sun. However, they face a tough road test against SMU who is more than likely on a mission after losing to Southern Miss.

Manhattan Jaspers (1-2) @ Northern Kentucky Norse (4-0)

Time: 7 p.m. (est)

Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA @ the BB&T Arena

Network: ESPN3

Western Illinois Leathernecks (2-1) @ Eastern Illinois Panthers (0-2)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Charleston, Illinois, USA @ the Lantz Arena

Network: ESPN+

Bradley Braves (3-0) @ Illinois-Chicago Flames (1-3)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA @ the UIC Pavilion

Network: ESPN3

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions (0-2) @ Southern Illinois Salukis (0-2)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Carbondale, Illinois, USA @ the SIU Arena

Network: ESPN3

Yale Bulldogs (1-0) @ Memphis Tigers (1-1)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA @ the FedEx Forum

Network: ESPN3

Game Note: This will be Yale’s first game since playing Cal in Shanghai. The Bulldogs were impressive, but it’s tricky to read because of how bad Cal actually is this season. If Yale mirrors their Shanghai performance tonight or through the season, then Penn will definitely have an Ivy League challenger on their hands.

Saint Louis Billikens (3-0) @ Seton Hall Pirates (1-1)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Newark, New Jersey, USA @ the Prudential Center

Network: FS2

Houston Baptist Huskies (1-1) @ Wisconsin Badgers (2-0)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, USA @ the Kohl Center

Network: BTN

Jacksonville Dolphins (0-4) @ South Alabama Jaguars (2-1)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Mobile, Alabama, USA @ the Mitchell Center

Norfolk State Spartans (2-3) vs. Stony Brook Seawolves (2-1)

Time: 8:30 p.m. (est)

Location: Uncasville, Connecticut, USA @ the Mohegan Sun Arena

Network: ESPN3

Portland Pilots (1-2) @ California State Northridge Matadors (0-2)

Time: 9 p.m. (est)

Location: Northridge, California, USA @ the Matadome

Non-DI Opponent Games

Finally, the ‘Non-DI Opponent Games’ feature non-ranked DI schools who are matched up against a school in DII or lower.

Aquinas College Saints @ Western Michigan Broncos (2-1)

Time: 2 p.m. (est)

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA @ the University Arena

Network: ESPN3

Illinois Tech Scarlett Hawks @ Northern Illinois Huskies (1-1)

Time: 3 p.m. (est)

Location: Dekalb, Illinois, USA @ the NIU Convocation Center

Hiwassee College Tigers @ Western Carolina Catamounts (0-3)

Time: 4 p.m. (est)

Location: Cullowhee, North Carolina, USA @ the Ramsey Center

Minnesota-Morris Cougars @ North Dakota Fighting Hawks (2-1)

Time: 4 p.m. (est)

Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota, USA @ the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center

California-Merced Golden Bobcats @ California-Riverside Highlanders (0-3)

Time: 7 p.m. (est)

Location: Riverside, California, USA @ the SRC Arena

Fisk Bulldogs @ Tennessee State Tigers (1-2)

Time: 8 p.m. (est)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA @ the Gentry Center

Network: ESPN+

Williamette Bearcats @ Portland State Vikings (1-1)

Time: 10:05 p.m. (est)

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA @ the Viking Pavilion
