Lakers Extend Win Streak To Four, Beat Trail Blazers 126-117
The Los Angeles Lakers win streak extended to four after last night’s 126-117 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. LeBron James had easily his best game as a Laker. James had 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists The game was completely in James’ control.
JaVale McGee was another bright spot in the game. McGee helped the Lakers by scoring 20 points that helped torch the Trail Blazers defense. Damian Lillard went off for 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists, but it just wasn’t enough for Portland.
The Lakers may have won, but they also took a big loss. Backup point guard Rajon Rondo broke his hand and is expected to be out 3-5 weeks. Injuries have been a problem for the Lakers in recent seasons. Unfortunately, that trend is continuing for Rondo and the Lakers
With Rondo out, expect Lonzo Ball to be playing at least 30 minutes a night. This is a big year for Ball, and now he has the chance seize the starting point guard position. Also, another potential person to fill that void could be Alex Caruso. Caruso is a part of the Lakers’ G-League Affiliate the South Bay Lakers. Caruso played 37 games last season and averaged 3.6 points and 2 assists per game.
Player Of The Game: LeBron James
Last night was all about James. James finished with 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists while shooting 5-6 from three point range. He also moved passed Wilt Chamberlain to reach 5th on the all-time scoring List. This is what us Lakers’ fans have been waiting so long for. A star to drop 40 on any given night.
James made his presence felt at the Staples Center and was a man on a mission last night. James has been on a tear recently and the Lakers are finally moving in the right direction. It’s James’ world, and we are all just living in it.

Looking Ahead:
The Lakers will have a back to back in Florida this weekend. They will be taking on the Orlando Magic on Saturday and the Miami Heat on Sunday. Next Wednesday, James will be making his return to Cleveland. This time around, however, James should get a warm reception from Cavs’ fans. The Lakers currently stand 7th in the tough Western Conference with an 8-6 record. The schedule throughout the month of November has been easier compared to the brutal one they endured in October.
