Sources Claim Backstage Heat on Nia Jax following Becky Lynch Injury
Following Becky Lynch’s injury this past Monday night, many sources claim there is massive backstage heat on Nia Jax. Jax, of course, was the one who injured Lynch during a brawl between SmackDown Live and Monday Night RAW.
The Issue at Hand
During SmackDown Live’s invasion of RAW on Monday, Lynch was struck in the face by Nia Jax. The result of the stiff shot is a broken face and concussion. Because of her injuries, Lynch will not be able to compete in her match against Ronda Rousey.

The Locker Room’s Take
This is causing huge backlash backstage and with the WWE Universe for the former RAW Women’s Champion. Sean Sapp of Fightful.com originally broke the news, saying an “it sucks, sh*t happens” mentality was going through the locker room. But that is changing in some people’s minds in the locker room.
Note to anyone retweeting this today: the "that sucks, shit happens" mentality changed pretty quick

The backstage atmosphere shifted quickly from “accidents happen” to “Nia is now a liability”.
Nia is careless is the attitude backstage right now

Becky, unfortunately, isn’t the first person Nia has accidentally injured. Alexa Bliss, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair are some of the others that have been injured by Jax.
Nia’s Take
After staying silent for most of Tuesday while the news was being announced, Nia Jax herself addressed Becky’s injury. According to Jax, it wasn’t intentional to hurt Becky in the brawl and that accidents happen.
Accidents DO Happen
Of course, these types of things happen all the time in professional wrestling. As I’ve said many times in previous articles, it’s just part of the business. In Jax’s case, it may be from her lack of training or experience in the ring. Then again, it might just be a plague of unfortunate accidents that follow her around. But her history of sloppy in-ring work and a laundry list of people she’s hurt contradicts the “sh*t happens” claim.
Nia is still part of the RAW Women’s Survivor Series team this Sunday. And it looks like that won’t change unless a last minute booking decision replaces her during the show. Something like that happened during the 2016 Survivor Series when Natalya replaced Nikki Bella on team SmackDown Live.
At least Becky doesn’t have any hard feelings against Nia…
