Becky Lynch Busted Open During SmackDown Live Invasion of RAW
The battle for brand supremacy, Survivor Series, is a little under a week away. Last night’s Monday Night RAW saw SmackDown Live pay their red counterpart a visit before their co-brand war. Leading the charge is Becky Lynch, heading into a heated battle with RAW’s Ronda Rousey this Sunday.
Lynch stormed the ring with her SmackDown teammates behind her. During the scuffle, Lynch’s nose was busted open. Wearing the Crimson Mask, Lynch continued fighting along side her blue brand sisters.
What Happened?
As can be seen in the video above, Becky Lynch falls to the ground after taking a stiff shot in the corner. Many speculated it was Dana Brooke who bloodied the SmackDown Women’s Champion. But Brooke was quick to denounce that theory.
Brooke sent out a tweet after receiving criticism from fans:

In the video, Lynch approaches the corner Nia Jax is standing in. The video cuts away before the strike is connected, but Nia can be seen throwing a punch. A few seconds later, Becky is on the canvas, clutching at her face. A few moments after that, Becky’s face and hands are covered in blood as she walks to a different corner.

Becky is unaffected from the looks of things. It hasn’t been specified yet whether or not if it’s a broken nose or a minor cut. Either way, there was a lot of blood after the fact.
Nia hasn’t stated anything as of right now. Hopefully she doesn’t receive the criticism Dana Brooke did, because this is just an accident in a contact sport.
Going into her match at Survivor Series, it looks like Becky has a huge advantage when it comes to fan support. Since her heel turn, Lynch is likely the most popular Superstar in WWE, man or woman.
Walking away with a bloody face after dominating Ronda Rousey has only made Becky’s momentum skyrocket. Will this effect her match this Sunday? We can only wait and see just how great this match will be.
Just…ouch.
