Real Madrid Loses El Clasico And Struggles
Real Madrid are struggling to find top form this season since Cristiano Ronaldo this past summer. To make things worst, the departure of Zinedine Zidane also left the club in shambles with club president Florentino Perez having to damp the fire.
Additionally, since the beginning of the season, Los Blanco’s are struggling on scoring goals and winning games. Despite the departure of Ronaldo, the club has players who can perform, yet they lack luster in their performance lately.
Real Madrid has one of the best rosters in the world. Many can say they obtain two elite rosters as the ones on the bench could easily start anywhere else.
One can say that against Barcelona, Real Madrid lined up their best. However, instead of lining-up Isco, Julen Lopetegui should’ve played Marco Asensio. He’s a young talent and sitting on the bench is not good for Los Blancos. It defeats the purpose of bringing him back to the club. Isco has been asking for more playing time, but Real Madrid should be playing him as a attacking center midfielder.
Additionally, the signing of Vinicius Junior from Flamengo has given a lot to talk about. Why bring the youngster to play in third-division when he can have quality time in the first team. The 18-year-old has speed, makes good runs, he is a free kick specialist, and most important knows how to score goals. Something Real Madrid has been lacking lately.
Also, let’s not forget about the signing of Alvaro Odriozola, Thibaut Courtois, and Mariano Diaz. Unfortunately for Los Blancos, they have yet to make any difference in the team. Specially after you let go of the services of Achraf Hakimi, Mateo Kovacic, Theo Hernandez, Borja Mayoral, and Martin Odegaard this past summer.
Lineup Options
Real Madrid lineup was a good. However, Asensio should start instead of Isco. Additionally, Keylor Navas is a better option at keeper than Courtois.
Coaching
As of today Julen Lopetegui was sacked. He did win some games but with Real Madrid you can’t just win some. Once you become manager of Los Blancos you have to win all games with the stars on the team. It has been said Antonio Conte was going to be his replacement but Santiago Solari is head coach for them at the moment.
La Liga Table
Currently Real Madrid are sitting in ninth place with 14 points. They have 4 wins 2 draws and 4 loses. If they don’t win games soon we can see one of the best football clubs moving down the table even more. It’s really hard to see Real Madrid struggle this bad. People say one player shouldn’t be the whole team, but since Cristiano Ronaldo has left everybody can see it hurts them. Players are struggling to score in front of net. Marcelo was the only scorer against Barcelona and that wasn’t enough. The top scorer for Los Blancos are Karim Benzema with four, after him it’s Bale with three.
Making Changes
Real Madrid will have to change something soon to get back to winning games. Hopefully the new Real Madrid coach can fix them. Under Zinedine Zidane the team won trophies including 3 UEFA Champions League, will there be another manager like him to bring Los Blancos back?
