Eva Marie Interested in WWE Return

Despite being heavily criticized for her in-ring ability, one should remember that the character Eva Marie was never meant for wrestling. Rather, she was meant specifically for E!‘s Total Divas. From there, Eva Marie would try her best to make it as a WWE performer.

Eva Marie and WWE parted ways in August of 2017. Eva would go on to pursue other things. However, she hasn’t forgotten where she came from. In fact, Eva recently had an interview with Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet.

“I chose to leave the main roster and go back to NXT. So I’m traveling with NXT. I’m setting up rings, I’m putting in the so-called ‘work.’ So, basically, like, back off.”

Additionally, she recognizes that the fans would continue to criticize her character, despite her busting her ass.

Eva revealed she had given thought to returning to the WWE. She says she has “unfinished business” there:

“Ultimately, everyone–I think you’d be silly if you didn’t say this–but, you know, you want the title.”

Eva Marie confirms she will NOT be appearing at the Evolution pay-per-view on October 28, despite original rumors. But…

“That doesn’t say that I won’t be appearing later on.”

She also states that the WWE needs “All Red Everything.” It should be noted that the former Diva has lilac-colored hair, so this isn’t exactly accurate for the time being.

But who is Eva Marie interested in wrestling? Well, she names off both former RAW Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, and current RAW Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey. She also throws the idea out there to square up against the Bella Twins, siding herself with Maryse.

Here’s the interview with All Purple Everything herself. It’s quite interesting:

Paige’s Future as SmackDown Live General Manager

When Paige announced an injury forcing her to retire from the WWE as an in-ring competitor, most fans were certain she’d head back home. Instead, just a few days later, it was revealed that she’d taken an opportunity for a different role.

Without a doubt, Paige has done an excellent job as SmackDown Live‘s General Manager. After former GM Daniel Bryan was cleared to wrestle again, the role was open. Shane McMahon reportedly had high hopes for Paige, and really aided in her transition.

Although things were questionable for the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion during her relationship with Alberto del Rio, Paige has completely turned around. The WWE loves her in her new role, and it will be unlikely to see her go away anytime soon.

PWInsider reports that she will certainly be with the WWE at least until next year, when her contract expires. And even then, she may still be the (other) Face that Runs the Place.
