More Details Surrounding Brian Christopher’s Death

The wrestling community was shaken quite a bit a few weeks back. News broke at the end of July that Brian Christopher Lawler had attempted suicide in his jail cell. A few hours later, he passed away. He was only 46 years old.

Since then, reports have been surfacing that things aren’t what they seem. Brian’s father, Jerry “The King” Lawler, had publicly aired his suspicions. He didn’t believe that Brian committed suicide. In fact, he talked about where his doubt began on an episode of his podcast, “Dinner with the King.”

Jerry says that everyone who had been in jail with Brian said there was no way he committed suicide. In fact, he states someone said:

“‘Mr. Lawler I got $92 to my name, but if I had $9 million I would bet all of it that Brian didn’t hang himself.'”

Because those who have come forward don’t have anything to gain or lose by speaking on the situation, Jerry Lawler believes they are truthful.

Even Lawler’s attorney said the photos that they had seen of Brian’s neck did not seem consistent with someone hanging. He does not believe the story lines up with someone who had tried to hang themselves with shoelaces. Rather, he thinks his lacerations on his neck look like he had been struggling to get something off that had been choking him.

Lawler states:

“We’ve received countless calls and texts from people. Actual eyewitnesses that were in the jail and saw things that happened…it just doesn’t seem like it was suicide.”

Things don’t add up…

Additionally, Brian Christopher was moved to a solitary confinement cell following a fight. Jerry Lawler points out there is no way that he would have been able to hang himself from his jail cell, as there would’ve been nowhere for him to do it.

The most tell-tale sign of possible foul play is that the 20 cameras inside the jail were allegedly not working. Now, this looks entirely more suspicious.

Additionally, following the fight that led to Brian’s confinement, he had been bleeding from his head and was denied medical attention.

Right now, there is an ongoing investigation. Jerry Lawler says there are some things he is not able to discuss at this time.
