Colt Cabana Suing CM Punk

This is quite an intriguing feud. And no, not a feud in the sense we normally see two wrestlers in. Rather, these two former friends are at edge with one another following the heavily headlined court case with WWE doctor, Chris Amann. Earlier today, The Chicago Suns-Times  reported that Colt Cabana (Scott Colton) was suing CM Punk (Phil Brooks) in Cook County Circuit Court, Illinois.

This case stems from the one against the WWE doctor. The entire case began after CM Punk was on Colt Cabana’s podcast, Art of Wrestling. From there, Punk had made some comments about how the WWE doctor handled his injury. Although things were not looking good for the former WWE Champion, CM Punk had plenty of witnesses. And luckily, with Colt Cabana’s help, CM Punk was able to win that court case against Chris Amann.

However, this new report states that CM Punk breached his contract with Colt. Basically, CM Punk offered to pay Colt’s legal fees. Colt Cabana says he has evidence of that contract via text message.

Yet, when the time came to pay up, Colt Cabana had a massive bill, totaling over $513,000. Meanwhile, Punk was nowhere to be found.

Colt Cabana had asked Punk to at least pay half of the bill, but instead, he declined. He told his former friend that he was on his own and to pay it himself. The report goes on to say that Colt Cabana thinks that Punk acted fraudulently, with malice, and full-intent of causing him harm.

Now, Colt is asking for about $1 million dollars in punitive and exemplary damages as well as $200,000 in general damages.
