Update on Bobby Fish’s Return to NXT

Back in March, the unfortunate injury to Undisputed Era member, Bobby Fish, took place. At the time, Fish was one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions. During a match against Heavy Machinery, fans noted that it looked like Bobby Fish had suffered a legitimate knee injury. In fact, he was helped backstage following the match.

Indeed, he would then need to undergo knee surgery. He was taken down with both a torn ACL and MCL.

Then, Fish would later be pulled from NXT TakeOver: New Orleans for WrestleMania weekend.

Originally, the timetable for Bobby Fish’s return was around the 6-month mark. That would have brought him back into Full Sail by September. However, this morning Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that his injury is not healing as expected. Therefore, Bobby Fish will very unlikely be returning in September. Rather, he will likely be returning in late November or early December.

Dean Ambrose Return

While it seems to be doom and gloom for Bobby Fish, things are going quite well for former WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose. Many news outlets are reporting that the Lunatic Fringe has been cleared and is fully healthy to return to action.

The date that is buzzing around the net? August 19, right in Brooklyn. That’s right: Dean Ambrose is likely going to make a triumphant return at SummerSlam.

However, it is important to note that the chances that Dean returns as a heel character are quite high. In the past, this has truly helped develop his character. And although he’s generally a fan favorite, heel Dean Ambrose might make the most sense. I can see that character change going over quite well, essentially giving the red brand a nice spark that it desperately needs.
