78 Million Ways The Bulls Got Lavine To Stay
78 million dollars was matched by the Chicago Bulls, originally offered by the Sacramento Kings, was what took to get Zach Lavine to stay. Furthermore, it was reported that Lavine is happy to remain a Bull.
Lavine became a Bull last season via trade from Minnesota for Jimmy Butler along with the 16th pick. Lavine played 24 games due to recovering from ACL surgery. In addition, he averaged 16.7 Points per game, 3.9 Rebounds per game with 3 assists per game.
Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said that they are very excited to keep LaVine for the long run.
“Zach has seen some really good stretches and some stretches as well, but we are going to build on the good times that we had with Zach and try to hit the ground running with him. It’s an exciting time,” an ecstatic Hoiberg said.
LaVine said that having the offseason to condition has been helpful. Along with more strenuous workouts, he has been playing basketball with his father. Also, Lavine stated that he was a little bit disappointed that he had to get the offer from another team first. However, Chicago may have had concerns about his health in the future. Even with the match, the Bulls could have up to $19 million of salary cap space if they choose to operate as an under-the-cap team the rest of the offseason.
Bulls Lineup
The potential lineup for the Bulls next season will look like Wendell Carter at the center. Markkenen at the power Forward. Valentine at the small forward. Lavine at the shooting guard and Kris Dunn at the point guard.
With that lineup you will see a fast paced run and gun type offense that coach Hoiberg loves to apply no the court. As a long time Bulls fan I’m satisfied in the direction the Bulls front office is heading.
