The NBA Free Agency Is About To Commence

The NBA free agency begins as the 2018 NBA season came to an end with the Golden State Warriors sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year’s NBA Finals. NBA fans weren’t ready to say goodbye.

The good news, there is still plenty to look forward to. There’s the NBA draft, trades; some may be blockbusters, and of course, the rumor mill will be in full effect along with individual predictions. This free agency definitely won’t disappoint

A List Of The Top Ten NBA Free Agents Of 2018

As the NBA free agency is set to begin, there are many talented players available including some “superstars.”

1. Kevin Durant

Player Option/Small Forward

The probability of him opting out with the Warriors would be slim to none. He had announced his decision to remain with the Warriors after game 4 in the Finals.

2. LeBron James

Player Option/Small Forward

After being swept in the NBA Finals without any real help from his current teammates. The lack of productive teammates could very well be a deciding factor for James to leave Cleveland in search of a contending team.

But it would seem that his family will be the primary factor in his decision during free agency.

3. Paul George

Player Option/Small Forward

There is also Donovan Mitchell’s recruitment of Paul George. So it could be a possibility that George might opt with the Utah Jazz during his free agency.

4. Chris Paul

Unrestricted/Point Guard

It seems that Chris Paul is excellent friends with LeBron James. Could he opt to stay with Houston and entice LeBron to join him? Or could he choose to opt out pending the choice that LeBron makes during free agency?

5. DeMarcus Cousins

Unrestricted/Center

After suffering a torn Achilles injury, time can only tell what Cousins’ decision will be. He’s currently one of the best bigs in the league, making him a valuable addition to any team.

There were rumors that he unfollowed the Pelicans through social media during his recovery. Could this be a sign that he will not return? His decision during free agency may lead him to a contending team.

6. Clint Capela

Restricted/Center

Clint Capela has shown his abilities as a good defender and has improved his offensive game. In all probability, he’ll remain in Houston.

7. DeAndre Jordan

Player Option/Center

Jordan’s defensive and rebounding attributes are some of his best in the league. He’s also improved his Free Throws.

8. Aaron Gordon

Restricted/Power Forward

The Orlando Magic are prepared to match any offers for Aaron Gordon.

9. Julius Randle

Restricted/Power Forward

Julius may remain with the Lakers since he has become one of the most improved players in the NBA.

10. Jabari Parker

Restricted/Small Forward

If Jabari can remain healthy, there are a few options for him to consider in free agency.
