WWE
Greatest Royal Rumble
Greatest Royal Rumble is the first-ever pay-per-view held in Jeddah district of Saudi Arabia back in April by WWE. The event gave a sour taste to one group, and that group is none other than the extremist group (al-Qaeda).
Extremists sent a warning to the crown prince of Saudi Arabia; his efforts to ease restrictions on a “traditional” kingdom are: “sinful projects”.
“The new era of [Mohammad bin Salman] replaced mosques with movie theatres,” the Yemen-based al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) said in a statement.
“[Foreign] disbelieving wrestlers (WWE) exposed their privates and on most of them was the sign of the cross, in front of a mixed gathering of young Muslim men and women,” it read. They also condemned the Prince for the Western “absurdities that opened the door wide for corruption and moral degradation”.
“The AQAP branch of the extremist organization is currently battling Saudi forces that fight as part of an Arab coalition in neighboring Yemen’s complex civil war.”
It’s an ongoing war since 2015, with over 10 thousand killed, and 3 million Yemenis being homeless.
WWE hate terrorists,
WWE is a strong supporter of anti-terrorism, and once a year the company put an event for their Troops.
Back in the Golden Era, the company made Sgt. Slaughter aligns with the WWE version of Saddam Hussein and formed a terrorist faction. During the “Ruthless Aggression” era, WWE once again created anti-American rhetoric/terrorist character Muhammad Hassan; feuded with the Undertaker. Then WWE decided to make in army camo and ski mask-men jump the Undertaker with clubs; coincided with the 7 July 2005 London bombing.
Saudi Arabia’s top sports authority made a deal WWE for the event to take place annually for the next ten years.
