WWE applied a Trademark for nWo Merchandising and Wrestling Uses.

nWo

WWE

nWo

nWo is a well-known notorious faction from WCW; with Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash being the founding members of the group. They soon became popular amongst the wrestling fans around the world during the Monday Night Wars back in the mid 90’s.

But, the faction later became too crowded, and then separated; with nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac. And then, they continued to split, on to nWo Elite, nWo B-team, new nWo 2000, nWo Japan and finally WWE version of nWo; the company did bring the original trio but it wasn’t the same anymore and WWE presented badly.

The last was when Vince McMahon himself came out with the nWo theme and announced that this will be the last time we will ever hear that theme song again. But we got a brief nWo return at Wrestlemania 31; to assist their fellow WCW star Sting, who was in a match with Triple H (COO & DX member).

Are we going to see a rebirth of the Notorious Stable in 2018?

PWInsider said that WWE has recently applied the “nWo” trademark name for various uses; that includes merchandising and other wrestling purposes. Even though WWE already owns both trademarks.

According to The United States Patented & Trademark Office website:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; giving information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing and staging events with wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the fields of sports entertainment”

nWo merchandising which are as follow:

“Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wristbands; bandanas”

Also, note that the company filed “Immortals” trademark for action figures and other related items.

TSJ Writer’s View:

I can bet we aren’t going to see the original Trio again anytime soon. But it’s still possible that maybe WWE is planning to put this stable into the Hall of Fame. Or are we looking for new members and a revitalized nWo?

My guess is since Aj Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are having the last man standing match; it’s possible that The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) will get involved; by turning on their good buddy Aj Styles and joining with Nakamura. They will then form a new “nWo 2018”. And I know WWE still want to go head to head with The Bullet Club, so what better way to go against the Bullet Club than bringing the nWo.

What do you think? And if WWE is really going to bring back this notorious stable, who do u want to see as a member?
