Super Bowl Champion Eagles Will Not Visit The White House
The Philadelphia Eagles have been denied. President Donald Trump has announced that the Super Bowl champion Eagles will not visit the White House. The President released a statement in which he claims the reason is that the Eagles don’t agree with the NFL’s new anthem policy.
For some time now, rumors have been flying around that a majority of the players were planning on not attending. One specific player is safety Malcolm Jenkins, who has refused to visit the White House.

The Eagles Are Not The First Sports Team To Have Had Their Trip Nixed
The first team was the Golden State Warriors. It all started when the Warriors agreed as a team not to visit the White House. Some of the team’s leading players like shooting guard Klay Thompson publicly admitted to not being “comfortable” with visiting the White House.
Instead of visiting the President’s home, the Warriors took a trip to an African-American history museum. The decision came after the President decided to nix their White House trip after he heard that point guard Stephen Curry criticized him due to his anti-protest comments.
Not One Eagles Player Took A Knee During The Anthem Last Season
Some might not know this, but the Eagles didn’t participate in kneeling at all last season. The team has had some players show disapproval of the new anthem policy put in place by the NFL last month, but that’s about it.
This is a situation that might divide the Eagles fan base. Should have the Eagles visited the White House as a team? Or were the individual players just exercising their 1st amendment right to freedom of speech? Would love to hear from all of you.
Stay tuned because this story might not be over yet.
