The Hungry Dawg Pound Gets Another Boost

Former Philadelphia Eagle Mychal Kendricks will sign with the Cleveland Browns. It’s a one-year deal, and the hungry Dawg Pound continue to improve this offseason. This time Cleveland is focusing on the defense. Linebacker Kendricks is fresh off winning a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles and will be motivated to prove himself.

Can he bring his good form to Cleveland? It remains to be seen. Kendricks had an up-and-down career with Philadelphia. Last season, Kendricks was involved in trade talks but still ended up playing for the Eagles in the 2017 season.

What Are The Browns Getting From Kendricks?

Cleveland is getting a solid player. Kendricks had its moments during games and is poised for a productive season. He stepped up when the Eagles needed him the most. Eagles fans won’t forget the role he played in the team’s Super Bowl run.

He tends to disappear in games. That’s one thing some Philly fans didn’t like about him. He can have a good game and have a stinker the following week. What will help Kendricks a lot is he’s joining a decent core of linebackers in Jamie Collins and Christian Kirksey.

Other Teams Had Interest In The Linebacker

The hungry Dawg Pound snatched Kendricks, but they weren’t the only team in the race. There were rumors of the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders that they intentions of signing the linebacker.

Some felt like Minnesota was the ideal choice because of his brother Eric Kendricks. It turned out that the Vikings needed more to sign the former Eagle. The hungry Dawg Pound won and they have the right to be excited.

The Browns have spent all offseason trying to improve their roster. After only winning one game in the past seasons, the organization knew it was time for a change. The Mychal Kendricks acquisition is another piece to the puzzle. Kendricks will join one of the most exciting teams next season.
