Texas OL Connor Williams Selected 50th Overall By The Dallas Cowboys
Texas OL Connor Williams — also a native Texan — is not your average offensive lineman as he was a three-star recruit in 2015. The Longhorns All-American posted impressive numbers in his NFL Combined recording a 5.05 40-yard dash, a 34-inch vertical leap, and a 4.63 20-yard shuttle. In addition, many teams have regarded him as a center at the NFL level.
The nearly 300-pound lineman had a down year in 2017. However, if he becomes anything like he was in 2016, he will have a great upside in the NFL. Williams is a plus run blocker with plug-and-play technique across the board.
ESPN’s Todd McShay says that despite injury concerns, Williams possesses explosive athleticism that entices NFL General Managers.
