Luka Jovic Commits To Eintracht Frankfurt
Luka Jovic’s father has expressed that his son will stay at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jovic had been in contact with several teams, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Just last month, Mundo Deportivo indicated that Barcelona sport director Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes were involved in scouting the player.
Additionally, The Guardian claimed that the Catalans were ready to pay €50m for the Serbian striker.
“Luka had many offers – one of them was Barca but he’s not interested now,” Milan Jovic told Bild.
“He’s not sure he had any minutes at Barca. The truth is that Luka wants to stay in the Bundesliga and qualify with the Eintracht for the Champions League.”
The Serbian youngster has been in stellar form this season in the Bundesliga and has attracted several admirers. Additionally, he has netted 24 goals across all competitions.
Ernesto Valverde is keen on bringing another striker that can play behind Luis Suarez. Additionally, with the exit of Munir in January, a need in that zone is of importance.
Jovic is currently on loan from Benfica. However, the German side looks to permanently sign the striker.
Manchester City, Manchester United, and as of recently Real Madrid. However, all the options would have him on the bench instead of starting which is what he like.
