Rakitic Says Yes To Juventus
With the acquisition of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax, Ivan Rakitic’s playing time will likely diminish.
For this reason, Rakitic’s future at the Catalan club remain uncertain and a departure is almost imminent.
Nonetheless, the 31-year-old Croatian is exploring his options and Juventus seems to catch his attention. However, Rakitic has made it clear he does not want to leave Barcelona and expects a contract extension offer.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport have ensured that Rakitic has already had contact with the Italian side. Additionally, they also confirm that he has given his approval for a potential move to the Bianconeri.
In Italy they add that Sami Khedira will depart the club thus opening the door for the veteran Croatian for a starting job.
Rakitic joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 and has been a key player for both Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde.
