  • Venue: Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

Real Madrid will host Barcelona for the second time this week at the Santiago Bernabéu.

After three Clasicos, the Balugrana side has an edge on the head-to-head matchup against Los Blancos.

Additionally, the Catalans eliminated Madrid at home in La Copa del Rey semifinal on Wednesday despite a great effort from Los Blancos.

Also, Santiago Solari’s side will undoubtedly be confident of avenging the result in La Liga.

Team News

Nacho Fernandez will miss the matchup as he will be serving a one-game suspension. The central defender was sent-off in his side’s 2-1 victory at Levante last week.

Additionally, Marco Llorente will not see action due to a muscular injury. Magician Isco is doubtful.

Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Marco Asensio saw no action midweek and will likely feature for the Argentinian strategist.

Meanwhile, continues to be without long-term absentee Rafinha. However, Arthur Melo will be available once again. Carles Alena and Philippe Coutinho will push for a start but will likely see the bench.

Lineups and Prediction

Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Reguilon; Varane, Ramos, Carvajal; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Vinicius Jr, Benzema, Vazquez.

Barcelona starting XI: Ter Stegen; Alba, Umtiti, Pique, Semedo; Roberto, Rakitic, Busquets; Dembele, Suarez, Messi.

Just this season, Madrid have conceded 30 goals in La Liga. Meanwhile, have notched 100 goals in all competitions visiting the Bernabéu.

It will be difficult to keep a clean-sheet on both sides. However, for this Vinicius Junior will have to be on point. During the midweek the striker had problems with targets on goal.

Nevertheless, the vengeance aspect resonates more for Real Madrid who hopes to stay in the run for La Liga. A win would put Los Blancos just six points away from the top.

Real Madrid 2 – 2 Barcelona
