The Warriors Spoiled D-Wade’s Last Game at Oracle Arena 120-118
The Warriors have won 15 of their last 16 games. They had a very lethargic start, and the Heat managed to capitalize. Miami had extra motivation as they wanted Dwyane Wade, who played in Oracle Arena for the last time, to leave with a win. Miami had a sizzling performance from three-point land knocking down 18 three pointers in the process! In their last two efforts, the Warriors have faced large deficits. Through teamwork, they have managed to pull together and overcome some costly mistakes via turnovers. The key catalyst for this come from behind victory last evening was Kevin Durant — who hit his only three pointer of the game in the fourth quarter. The Warriors spoiled Dwyane Wade’s last game at Oracle Arena by defeating the Heat 120-118.
The Slim Reaper Cometh…
Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 39 points despite struggling from behind the arc (1-7 three-pointers) and the charity stripe, where he missed an unprecedented four free throws (6-10 free throws). Durant’s mid range game was on full display (16-24 field goals). Including a stretch where he was responsible for scoring 11 consecutive points for the Warriors. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both made a splash by combining for 54 points. These two accounted for 11 of the Warriors 13 three-pointers. It was a low scoring affair for DeMarcus Cousins, who only scored 7 points (2-4 field goals). However, it would be 2 of his points which would prove to be the most poignant. Cousins made two free throws to seal this victory for the Warriors.
Miami Brought The Heat!
Stephen Curry and Dwyane Wade may have mutual respect for one another — however, the Heat displayed plenty of ruthless aggression. During this game, Bam Adebayo (8 points, 11 rebounds) delivered some nasty dunks that were anything but respectful towards the Warriors. Miami opened up with an onslaught that gave them a 10-point lead at the conclusion of the first quarter. Their biggest contributor was Josh Richardson, who had a career high of 37 points (14-22 field goals, 8 three pointers). Dion Waiters had 6 three-pointers of his own, pouring in 24 points. Many had reason to believe that history would repeat itself and Waiters would knock down the game winning three. Except this time, he came up a bit short. Wade, who was honored with a highlight video, had 10 points and swapped jerseys with Curry post game.

And All That Jazz…
The Warriors will host the Utah Jazz at home tomorrow night. The Jazz currently boast a two-game winning streak and are eight-and-a-half games out of first place. Two key match ups to look out for will be the young and dynamic Donovan Mitchell, who produced 23 points versus the Spurs, squaring off against three-point marksman Klay Thompson. Also, the battle of DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins and defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert, who was recently snubbed in the 2019 All-Star Game selections. Will the Warriors pickup their fifth straight win in a row? Or will Utah inch closer towards the fifth spot in the Western Conference? Tune in to find out!
