Aaron Rodgers Sets New Record for Consecutive Passes without an Interception
Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, Aaron Rodgers broke yet another record in his storied career. This one came during their 34-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Rodgers has set the new record for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception. The previous record was 358 passes held by five-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady.
It seems like Rodgers wanted to break the record in style. His pass that broke the record, the 359th consecutive throw, was a 24-yard touchdown to wide receiver Randall Cobb. The play gave the Packers a 27-7 lead over the Falcons.
The long-time Packers’ QB came into the game only needing 23 pass attempts to break the record. Rodgers’ last interception came in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills on a double-deflected pass. It’s Rodgers’ only interception of the season. In context, Rodgers has thrown 23 touchdown passes so far this season though.
Because of his touchdown-interception ratio of 4.23 (1,500 minimum pass attempts), Rodgers is currently ranked first in NFL history.

Rodgers breaking this record in December comes as no shock. In the month of December, Rodgers has always been incredible. Other than the loss last week to the Arizona Cardinals, Rodgers himself hasn’t lost at home in December since 2008.
Before the loss last week, Rodgers has won 15 straight home games in December. Additionally, in December alone, he has 46 touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 115.4 career passer rating.
Eight times in his career, Rodgers has been named the NFL Offensive Player of the Month; twice in December (2010, 2016). Rodgers has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week 16 times, a franchise record. Five of those have come in December (Weeks 13, 16 of 2010; Week 17 of 2014; Weeks 14, 16 in 2016). He has earned the honor at least once in eight consecutive seasons (2010-17).
Although he doesn’t have the most game-winning drives, the two-time All-Pro has recorded nine in December. Three of those were fourth-quarter comebacks.
Most importantly, Rodgers active streak of passes without an interception is currently at 368. With three more games left in the season and one being at Lambeau Field against the Detroit Lions, the sky is the limit. Aaron Rodgers’ record could continue to climb only adding to his December rap-sheet.
