Leicester City vs Tottenham Preview
Third-placed Tottenham Hotspur visit the King Power Stadium to play the Foxes in the last Kick-off of the day.
Overview:
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been fast out of the blocks this season and can establish an early advantage against Leicester City on Saturday.
Spurs romped to a 3-1 victory against Southampton at Wembley on Wednesday. They’ll be looking to make it back to back top-flight victories after their 4-2 loss against Arsenal last weekend.
Tottenham can be credited as fast starters and will look to be ahead by halftime. The Foxes, however, have a trend of starting slow but pick up their pace later on in the game.
In Tottenham’s last 10 league games they’ve been ahead at the interval in eight of them. The other two came against Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Leicester on the other hand, have failed to score in the first half in five of their last six top-flight games. During that run, they’ve been behind at halftime against Fulham, Brighton and West Ham.
Leicester is on a 6 game unbeaten run, the opposition has been of lower quality compared to their opponents today. In fact, they’ve not fared poorly against the top teams this season.
Leicester have played five games against teams who currently sit above them, losing on each occasion.
Prediction:
Tottenham is in good form and will be looking to put the Foxes to the test, especially considering their dismal record against the sides above them.
Score Prediction: 3-0 to Spurs
