Premier League
Manchester City vs Bournemouth Preview
Premier League leaders Manchester City are in magnificent form ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Bournemouth.
After showing their resilience in a steely 2-2 draw against Lyon in the Champions League. Manchester City will be targeting an immediate return to winning ways here.
Eddie Howe’s men have suffered three straight defeats while the League leaders have lost just one of their last 38 games on home soil.
Bournemouth has never beaten Manchester City, losing 10 of the previous 12 meetings between the clubs, while City has scored 21 goals and conceded just twice in their previous six matches.
Team News:
Ilkay Gundogan, Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva could all return for City. Benjamin Mendy and Kevin De Bruyne are yet to return from injury.
Adam Smith is facing a long spell on the sidelines for Bournemouth. Jefferson Lerma will miss out as he serves a one-match ban.
Prediction:
Bournemouth has failed to score in only one of their nine games and was unlucky not score more than one against Arsenal. The Cherries are dangerous in the final third and might cause City some problems.
Manchester City has been solid at the back though, conceding only five goals in the league. They’ve faced 1.98 shots on target per game this season lowest league average recorded in history.
Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Bournemouth
