UEFA Champions League

Fellaini Gives Manchester United Hope

Manchester United won their previous game against Young Boys 3-0 and The Red Devils were looking to do the same on Tuesday. Little did they know Young Boys were coming to play at Old Trafford. Untied benched Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku for this fixture. Marcus Rashford, Fred, and Marouane Fellaini got the start for The Red Devils. One big chance to score came from Rashford from a perfect pass from Luke Shaw but he could not finish.

Manchester had 65.8% of ball possession and managed to score one goal that came in the last minutes of stoppage time from Fellaini. Another chance during the game came from Fellaini but it was a miss hit. Manchester United has been struggling as of late to score goals.

With Fellaini’s last minute goal they managed to move on to the round of 16. Manchester United have to do something with Rashford, Lukaku, Martial, Lingard and Pogba because none of them are scoring goals.

Man of the Match

Marouane Fellaini was named Man of the Match because of that last minute goal he scored for Manchester United. If their could be two Man of the Match Award, David De Gea should get the one also. The shot he saved off the line helped Manchester stay in the game.

Young Boys

Young Boys are winless in all three of their previous away games against English sides losing to Spurs 4-0 in 2010. During Tuesday’s match Young Boys came to play against The Red Devils. With 11 shots and only eight chances created Young Boys easily could have taken points away from United. There was one good chance but David De Gea just cleared it off the line to keep a clean sheet.

So that being said Young Boys are officially knocked out of the Champions League, their record was 0-1-3. They did not win a single game during this campaign.
