Celtics Take It To The Hawks In Atlanta, Win 114-96
The Boston Celtics picked up a much needed win against the Atlanta Hawks last night. The Celtics have been spiraling as of late. However, this win should put them back on track. It was a team effort as the leading scorer, Aron Baynes, only had 16 points. Moreover, nobody played more than 26 minutes which means they’ll be rested for today’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Inconsistency in Victory
Although Boston ran away with the game, there were points in the game where they struggled. For example, the offense and defense became a mess in the second quarter. Any good team that isn’t the Hawks would’ve taken a lead. It’s a problem with this team’s effort when they go up big. Boston has been giving up leads this entire season, and they almost did last night. Thankfully, in the second half the Celtics were inspired and locked down the victory
The Celtics didn’t seem to miss Al Horford (knee soreness) too badly last night, despite Atlanta’s big frontcourt. Baynes filled in for the injured Horford, and had his best game of the season. Baynes finished 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 16 points as previously mentioned. The Celtics would win the battle on the boards last night, which has been rare this season. If Boston continues to go big with starting either Morris or Baynes, that will create problems for the rest of the league
Player of the Game: Terry Rozier
While Baynes definitely had a good game, he also gave up too many points in the paint. On the other hand, Rozier played with an energy while picking up 3 steals and locking down opposing guards. Rozier also received a lot of playing time with Irving resting in the second half. Good game for Rozier, and hopefully his energy carries into Dallas.
Honorable Mention: Aron Baynes

Looking Forward to the Next Game
The Celtics play the second game of a road back-to-back in Dallas tonight. This will be a hard fought game because the Mavericks have been really good at home this season. If Boston keys in on Dallas’ turnover problems and out rebound them, then there is no reason they can’t win.
