La Bombonera witnessed the final first leg between Boca Juniors and River Plate that ended in a 2-2 draw. Two weeks later, the wait if finally over. River Plate will host the epic final match between the two Argentine rivals at El Monumental.
The anticipated clash will be one to remember as the two clubs seek a historic win.
Team News
Both sides enter this match with several changes. River will have a major reorganization with the suspension of forward Rafael Borré. Additionally, after a suffering a calf strain three weeks ago, Nacho Scocco will likely return to the lineup. However, Marcelo Gallardo may opt for 31-year-old veteran Rodrigo Mora at forward. Nonetheless, Gallardo could also choose to go with a single striker Pity Martínez while dropping off Lucas Pratto.
Meanwhile, Boca Juniors will be forced to replace Christian Pavón after he suffered an injury. However, Colombian Edwin Cardona will likely be in shape to replace him in the lineup. Cardona has been known for troubling River Plate, specifically this past Supercopa this year. Nonetheless, Guillermo Barros Schelotto may opt for Carlos Tevez at front.

The former idols are now leading their teams from the dugouts. Both Gallardo and Barros Schelotto look to further cement their names in the history of their respective clubs. However, Gallardo hold a slight edge over the Xeneize Barros Schelotto in the last couple of years. Despite this, Boca continues to have the overall advantage over Las Gallinas. The top-caliber player Tevez will have to step up and finally lay out the reasons Los Bosteros brought him back, win the Copa Libertadores.
