College Basketball
College Hoops Schedule: Monday, Nov. 12th, 2018
Ranked Game(s)
‘Ranked Games’ feature schools that find themselves within the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Rankings, regardless of who their opponent is.
Stanford Cardinal (2-0) @ #8 North Carolina Tar Heels (2-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA @ the Dean E. Smith Center
Network: ESPN2
Game Note: Stanford was able to pass two solid mid-major tests against Seattle and North Carolina-Wilmington. The same can be said about North Carolina, winning two inter-state games on the road which includes a revenge win over Wofford.
Vermont Catamounts (1-0) @ #1 Kansas Jayhawks (1-0)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Lawrence, Kansas, USA @ the Allen Fieldhouse
Network: ESPN2
Game Note: Kansas is as good as advertised, and should face a little-to-no challenge in being crowned Big XII champions again. The conference seems down after early struggles from Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State.
Monday night we will honor the men and women of the military in our Salute to Service vs. Vermont. Come out to Allen Fieldhouse and join us in our #KUsalute!

Denver Pioneers (1-0) @ #12 Kansas State Wildcats (1-0)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Manhattan, Kansas, USA @ the Bramlage Coliseum
Network: ESPN3
Game Note: The Wildcats escaped against Kennesaw State in their home-opener. They now turn to Denver, who may surprise many if Kansas State plays equal or worse than they did against the Owls. Denver should not be taken lightly.
San Diego Toreros (2-0) @ #25 Washington Huskies (1-1)
Time: 11 p.m. (est)
Location: Seattle, Washington, USA @ the Alaska Airlines Arena
Network: Pac-12 Network
Game Note: It’s tough to see Washington ranked after being blown out on the road against Auburn. The Huskies should still be alright for the season, but a loss that bad after struggling early against Western Kentucky is discouraging at best. San Diego is a very talented team, as are a handful in the WCC. If not careful, the Huskies could very well lose their second straight in this one.
Non-ranked DI Games
‘Non-ranked DI Games’ feature schools that are outside of the AP Top 25, but both teams are DI schools.
Detroit Mercy Titans (0-2) @ Butler Bulldogs (1-0)
Time: 6:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, USA @ the Hinkle Fieldhouse
Network: FS1
Game Note: Butler took care of a slightly above-average Miami-Ohio team. This should be another victory for the Bulldogs, who then enter a tough slate against Mississippi, Dayton, and Saint Louis immediately after.
North Carolina A&T Aggies (0-2) @ Maryland Terrapins (2-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: College Park, Maryland, USA @ the XFINITY Center
Network: ESPNU
Jacksonville State Gamecocks (0-1) @ Penn State Nittany Lions (1-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: University Park, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Bryce Jordan Center
Network: BTN
Troy Trojans (1-1) @ Pittsburgh Panthers (2-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Petersen Events Center
Network: ACC Network
Game Note: Jeff Capel III has come in for Pittsburgh as the new head coach after an awful season last year. The Panthers already look much more improved after just two games, as the Panthers may become a dark horse for many upsets in the ACC this year.
Austin Peay Governors (1-1) @ South Florida Bulls (1-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Tampa Bay, Florida, USA @ the Yuengling Center
Monmouth Hawks (0-2) @ St. Joseph’s Hawks (1-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA @ the Hagan Arena
Network: ESPN+
St. Bonaventure Bonnies (1-1) @ Niagara Purple Eagles (0-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Niagara Falls, New York, USA @ the Gallagher Center
Game Note: After a tough three-point loss to Bucknell in their season-opener, St.Bonaventure ran through Jackson State and appear to be back to normal. The Bonnies should be fine until December, but after a loss to Bucknell, they can’t take any opponent lightly. This will be Niagara’s season-opening game.
Bowling Green Falcons (1-1) @ Virginia Commonwealth Rams (2-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Richmond, Virginia, USA @ the Stuart C. Siegel Center
Network: ESPN+
Manhattan Jaspers (0-1) @ Maryland-Baltimore County Retrievers (1-1)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, USA @ the RAC Arena
Network: ESPN+
Campbell Camels (1-1) @ Ohio Bobcats (1-0)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)
Location: Athens, Ohio, USA @ the Convocation Center
Network: ESPN3
Game Note: Chris Clemons didn’t have 40+ points in their last game, but the Campbell Camel was still able to produce 27 in a losing effort to Coastal Carolina. Ohio should win this game, but Campell’s threat in Clemons gives the Camels a fighting chance against most opponents they see.
Kennesaw State Owls (1-1) @ Samford Bulldogs (2-0)
Time: 7:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama, USA
Network: ESPN+
Game Note: The Samford Bulldogs have been an early surprise for SoCon schools, although only one of their wins was honestly impressive. Samford beat a very good Jacksonville State team, but the Owls are no slouch either. They played very well on the road against a top-15 team in Kansas State.
American Eagles (1-0) @ Northwestern Wildcats (1-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Evanston, Illinois, USA @ the Welsh-Ryan Arena
Game Note: American surprised many with a three-point road win against George Mason. Northwestern should win this game, but the Eagles have momentum and confidence heading into this matchup.
Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (2-0) @ Belmont Bruins (1-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA @ the Curb Event Center
Game Note: Despite a 2-0 start, expectations for this Middle Tennessee team are still low. Belmont impressed in their season-opener against Illinois State, as this will serve as a true test game for the Bruins. Between this game and their next (against Lipscomb), Belmont will learn much about themselves.
Buffalo Bulls (2-0) @ Southern Illinois (0-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Carbondale, Illinois, USA @ the SIU Arena
Network: ESPN+
Game Note: The Bulls will more than likely be ranked this week, after winning in overtime against West Virginia. Any questions about this Buffalo team being legit have been quickly answered – yes. The Bulls are good enough for an at-large bid if they slip in the MAC Tournament. Southern Illinois could play upset after a close game against Kentucky.

Alabama A&M Bulldogs (0-2) @ Rice Owls (1-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Houston, Texas, USA @ the Tudor Fieldhouse
Texas-Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros (1-1) @ Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders (2-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, USA @ the American Bank Center
Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (1-0) @ South Dakota Coyotes (1-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Vermillion, South Dakota, USA @ the Sanford Coyote Sports Center
Network: ESPN+
Illinois-Chicago Flames (0-2) @ Duquesne Dukes (1-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA @ the A.J. Palumbo Center
Network: ESPN+
Game Note: The Flames have disappointed thus far, as it seems a Horizon League contender is still away from this team. Duquesne may make some quiet noise this season, as they were above average last year in a conference up for grabs.
Prairie View A&M Panthers (1-0) @ Baylor Bears (1-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Waco, Texas, USA @ the Ferrell Center
Texas Southern Tigers (1-1) @ Iowa State Cyclones (2-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Ames, Iowa, USA @ the Hilton Coliseum
Game Note: The Tigers once again go through one of the most difficult non-conference schedules in the nation. That has paid off in just two games though, as Texas Southern upset Baylor. Iowa State should win by a large margin, despite the Tigers entering this game undefeated against Big XII opponents this season.
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (2-0) @ Texas Longhorns (2-0)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Austin, Texas, USA @ the Frank Erwin Center
Network: LHN
Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) @ Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners (0-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: San Antonio, Texas, USA @ the UTSA Convocation Center
Network: CBSSN
California-Davis Aggies (0-2) @ Arkansas Razorbacks (0-1)
Time: 8 p.m. 9est)
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA @ the Bud Walton Arena
Network: SEC Network+
Game Note: Despite losing a ton of talent, Arkansas performed very well against Texas during their neutral site game. Arkansas returns home against a struggling UC-Davis team who still has large in-conference expectations.
Morgan State Bears (0-2) @ DePaul Blue Demons (1-0)
Time: 8:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA @ the Wintrust Arena
Network: FS1
Long Beach State 49ers (1-1) @ Arizona State Sun Devils (2-0)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Tempe, Arizona, USA @ the Wells Fargo Arena
Network: Pac-12 Network
Jacksonville Dolphins (0-2) @ Grand Canyon Lopes (1-1)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA @ the GCU Arena
Network: ESPN3
Utah Utes (1-0) @ Minnesota Golden Gophers (1-0)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA @ the Williams Arena
Network: BTN
Game Note: Richard Pitino may be on the hot seat if Minnesota underachieves again this year. This is an important game for Minnesota, who need to start this season on the right foot after letting their season slip away last year.

Time: 1 p.m. (est)
Location: Durham, New Hampshire @ the Lundholm Gymnasium
Bridgewater Eagles @ James Madison Monarchs (2-0)

Mid-Atlantic Christian Mustangs @ The Citadel Bulldogs (0-1)

Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA @ the McAlister Field House
Network: ESPN+
Midway Eagles @ Miami-Ohio RedHawks (0-1)
Time: 7 p.m. (est)

Location: Clinton, South Carolina, USA @ the Ross E. Templeton P.E. Center

Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, USA @ the Lakefront Arena
Texas Lutheran Bulldogs @ Incarnate Word Cardinals (2-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: San Antonio, Texas, USA @ the McDermott Convocation Center
Ozarks Eagles @ Central Arkansas Bears (1-1)
Time: 8 p.m. (est)
Location: Conway, Arkansas, USA @ the Farris Center
Missouri Baptist Spartans @ Arkansas State Red Wolves (0-1)
Time: 8:30 p.m. (est)
Location: Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA @ the First National Bank Arena
Montana Tech Orediggers @ Montana Grizzlies (1-0)
Time: 9 p.m. (est)
Location: Missoula, Montana, USA @ the Dahlberg Arena
Sonoma State Seawolves @ San Francisco Dons (2-0)
Time: 10 p.m. (est)
Location: San Francisco, California, USA @ the War Memorial Gymnasium
Life Pacific Warriors @ California-Irvine Anteaters (2-0)
Time: 10 p.m. (est)
Location: Irvine, California, USA @ the Bren Events Center
Game Note: The Anteaters seem poised to claim the Big West crown as many predict happening. A huge road win against Texas A&M seems to show that UC-Irvine can compete against bigger programs. Watching them grow this season, it’ll be interesting to see just how far this long and talented team can go.
2️⃣-0️⃣ to start the season! ?? #TogetherWeZot #RipEm
