The New York Jets And The Minnesota Vikings Look To Avoid The Bottom Of Their Respective Divisions

Vikings-Jets History
It’s Week 7, and the Vikings and Jets have only played each other ten times throughout the existence of the NFL. The Jets have dominated this matchup with an 8-2 record. They also hold a perfect 4-0 home record against the Vikings.
The last time these two teams met in MetLife Stadium, it was a rainy defensive battle which saw the Jets come out on top 29-20.
Records And Division Ranking
The Jets are currently 3-3, and they’re ranked third in the AFC East.
The Vikings are currently 3-2-1, and they’re ranked third in the NFC North.
Minnesota Vikings’ Keys To Victory
Kirk Cousins (QB)
Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins has shown week in and week out that he can shoulder the load if the run game doesn’t get off to a good start. He currently ranks fifth in the NFL in passing yards The Jets rank 22nd against the pass so lookout for deep shots down the field throughout the game.
Adam Thielen (WR)
The man who’s been getting the bulk of yards from the arm of Kirk Cousins. He ranks first in receiving yards. Thielen has also averaged 100+ yards in every game so far this season.
New York Jets’ Keys To Victory
Isaiah Crowell And Bilal Powell (RB)
This dual threat attack has been the driving success of the Jets’ offense. They currently rank seventh in the league in rushing offense averaging 130.3 yards per game. They’ll need to get off to a good start if they want to keep the pressure off of Sam Darnold.
Robby Anderson (WR)
The Jets’ wide receiver is improving each week, and he’ll get a chance to succeed against a Vikings defense that ranks 19th against the pass. They just placed cornerback Mike Hughes on IR so they’ll be short-handed in the secondary.
Prediction
On paper, this looks like an easy win for the Vikings. But they’ll be playing in a hostile environment against a good Jets team with a fast, physical defense.
31-24 Jets
