Martin Bakos Joins the Providence Bruins

Today, October 13, the General Manager of the Boston Bruins Don Sweeny announced the re-assignment of Bakos. Martin Bakos went from the injured non-roster list, over to the Providence Bruins, an AHL team.

In the 2017-18 season, Martin Bakos spent most of his time with Liberec Bili Tygri HC of the Czech Hockey League. There he tallied a total of 14 goals and 26 assists. In total, Bakos had 40 points during 52 games. Additionally, in the same season, he added two goals and three assists. In total, Barkos had five points in 10 postseason games.  During the 2016-17 season, Martin Bakos played a total of 47 games. However, it was with the Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). There, he scored 11 goals and 11 assists. All for a total of 22 points during the 47 games. In addition to those 22 points, he obtained one goal during five playoff games. 

Prior to the aforementioned seasons, Bakos spent two seasons with the Liberec Bili Tygri HC from 2014-2016. In those two seasons, Bakos played a total of 94 games and had a total of 59 points. Those points being comprised of 29 goals and 30 assists. Additionally, Bakos had a plus-20 rating at the end of those two seasons.

Martin Bakos is a six-foot-two Native of Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia. He has represented his home country several times, the most recent being at the 2018 World Championships. During the said championship, he had two goals and two assists in a total of seven games. Bakos also represented Slovakia in the 2018 Olympics, where he obtained one goal and an assist in four games. In total, over 56 career international appearances with Slovakia, Martin Bakos has obtained 26 points. Those points comprising of 13 goals and 13 assists, with a plus-six rating.
