Brewers Look for Sweep of Rockies in Game 3
Later today, the Brewers look to sweep the Colorado Rockies in Game 3 of the NLDS. Should the Brewers win, they will advance to their first NLCS since 2011. The Brewers are sending Wade Miley to the mound to take on Rockies starter German Marquez. On the year, Miley is 5-2 with an ERA of 2.57 ERA with 50 strikeouts. On the other side, Marquez is 14-11 with a 3.77 ERA and 230 strikeouts on the year. Miley has had 16 regular season starts for the Brewers and has yet to allow more than three runs in those starts. Miley has had a major bounce-back year with the Brewers after he struggled last year in Baltimore. He’ll look to continue his success against a tough Rockies offense in Colorado. Marquez has dominated his last few starts and also hopes to keep the Rockies’ playoff hopes alive for another day. The game can be seen at 4:37 pm ET on MLB Network.
Brew Crew Looks to Dominate at Coors Field
Coors Field is known to be a hitter’s dream and a pitcher’s worst nightmare. With two power-house offenses, expect Game 3 to be a high-scoring affair. Miley and Marquez will certainly have their work cut out for them. If the Rockies can come away with a win, they plan to send Kyle Freeland to the mound in Game 4. Freeland has dominated at Coors Field throughout the entire 2018 season. Both offenses have struggled through the first two games. In the hitter’s park in Colorado, both sides look to have big performances to carry momentum the rest of the way. The Brewers will look for the win today, and head back to Milwaukee to prepare for either the Braves or Dodgers in the NLCS.
